Song Dynasty: Yang Wanli
In Mystery, when it is windy and rainy, the grass is full of flowers and the water is full of streams.
A boy sleeps in the shade, and a cow eats in the shade.
translate
On a sunny day after the rain, the wind was sunny and the rain evaporated without a trace. A rising tide lifts all boats in the river channel of the stream, with green grass and gorgeous wild flowers on the shore.
A shepherd boy is lying under the Liu Yin, sleeping soundly. The cow just buried itself in the grass and walked farther and farther until it reached the west of Liulin.

This poem is about the scene of children herding cattle in the mulberry tea ceremony, showing the field scenery in the south of the Yangtze River in summer. This poem has pictures and rhymes very long. The poet captured the small scene of pastoral rest in late spring and early summer, and showed the harmony between man and nature in his paintings. Every sentence is a picture, and the pictures are interrelated. Forward-looking freehand brushwork, pan-color; The characters are close-up, with detailed outlines and nuances.
The language of this poem is easy to understand. The first sentence is very simple, "when it is windy and rainy like a mystery", pointing out a sunny day. When it rains in Chu Qing, it is sunny and calm, and the accumulated water on the ground is being evaporated by the sun and blown dry by the wind. It is a good opportunity for agricultural production to rain and clear up. The whole sentence shows that nature is not dead, but flowing. "The grass is full of flowers and the embankment is full of water". In such a good climate, the stream is full of rain, and the water surface is flush with the dam. It is appropriate and common to use the word "full" in this case; It is not surprising to use the word "person" to describe the flowers and plants on the embankment, but it is vivid and interesting to use "person" as a verb here, as if the grass consciously decorated the embankment. This "flower bank" is a good place to put cattle. Then, the poet's eyes found that "the teenager slept under Liu Yin", and the teenager slept soundly under Liu Yin. In the rhythm of this poem, the third sentence is a setback. The first two sentences are about natural scenery, full of vitality and dynamics. When it comes to the most vital people (lively and lovely children), they are all asleep and motionless. The brisk rhythm of poetry seems to have stopped here and slowed down. However, the emotional setback is to introduce the fourth sentence, "A cow ate Liu Yin Xi." Where is the boy's cow? Eating and drinking, the cows have moved to the west of Liu Yin. Because the shepherd boy sleeps peacefully, the cows can eat grass freely and move leisurely. Because of the activity of the cow, this painting is alive again. Such quietness and movement are harmonious and natural. Here, the expressions of the shepherd boy and the cow are vivid and full of life.
The first two sentences of this poem are about the law of "moving", from rain to sunny, from wet to dry, from shallow to full, flowers and plants swaying in the wind, and nature is full of vitality; The third sentence describes the "quietness" of Liu Yin, a shepherd boy, who is sleeping soundly, and the fourth sentence "A cow ate the willow shade and the west", which forms the unique life interest and primitive and simple aesthetic feeling of this poem.
