The large-scale exhibition "Great Chapter of History ―― Grand View of Dongguan Civilization Development" exhibited in the exhibition hall includes five parts: history, economy, city, culture and independent exhibition area.
The historical chapter outlines the ancient civilization of Dongguan, reproduces the miracle created since the reform and opening up, and highlights that Dongguan is an important origin of Lingnan civilization, the beginning of China's modern history, the anti-Japanese base in South China and the forerunner of reform and opening up. The economic chapter describes the achievements of our city's economic development, shows our export-oriented economy, IT industry, park economy, private economy, modern service industry and well-off society, and highlights the characteristics of export-oriented economy and industry-led IT industry.
The city chapter consists of four parts: building a city, building roads, rectifying mountains and controlling water, which reflects the achievements made in urban construction and the future development prospects of the city.
The cultural chapter reflects the status of Dongguan culture in the cultural history of China through the elegant demeanor of Dongguan people and the local customs of Dongguan city. The upsurge of cultural construction presents the charm of a new cultural city.
The independent exhibition area focuses on the cordial care of the party and state leaders for our city, as well as the contributions of workers, foreign employees and investors from all fronts to Dongguan.
The exhibition shows Dongguan's glorious history, great achievements and bright future with grand scenes, informative materials, artistic conception and high-tech means.
