Original text and appreciation of Zheng Chouyu's poem "Wrong"
Wrong
I walked through Jiangnan
The face waiting in the season Like the blooming and falling of lotus
If the east wind does not come, the catkins in March will not fly
Your heart is like a small lonely city
Just like the blue stone The streets are turning towards evening
The tillers are silent, and the spring curtain of March is not lifted
Your heart is tightly closed by a small window
My dada Horseshoes are beautiful mistakes
I am not a returnee, I am a passerby...
Appreciation
This poem describes the change of mood of a woman waiting for her return. .
As time goes by, lotuses bloom and fall, her heart is like a "little lonely city", closed, dull and lifeless. In this "city", the east wind does not come, the catkins do not fly, the streets towards the evening are deserted, and the young woman closes the door of her heart in despair. At this time, the sound of Dada's horse hooves came from the street, and this sound brought joy to her who was extremely disappointed. But this was just a "beautiful mistake". It was not the return she expected, but just a passerby.
The poet tells a touching love story in a poignant style:
In late spring in March, the east wind was warm and catkins were dancing. In a beautiful small town in the south of the Yangtze River, a woman was waiting hard. The return of my sweetheart. The wandering "I" walked by here and heard the sound of Dada's horse hooves. Her long-awaited smile bloomed like a lotus. But before "I" entered the house, she was extremely disappointed. The plot of the story twists and turns with the protagonist's emotional changes. First there is long expectation, then there is surprise when hearing the sound of horse hooves, finally there is disappointment, and then there is endless waiting. The words have been exhausted but the meaning is endless. It can be said that the lingering sound is thought-provoking.
