Why blame Yangliu from which ancient poem?

Why should the Qiang flute blame the willows

From

"Two Liangzhou Ci Poems - One"

Tang·Wang Zhihuan

Far above the Yellow River, among the white clouds, is an isolated city called Wanren Mountain.

Why should the Qiang flute blame the willows? The spring breeze does not pass through Yumen Pass.

Translation

The Yellow River seems to be rushing from the white clouds, and Yumen Pass stands alone in the mountains. Why use the Qiang flute to play the plaintive "Willow Song" to complain that the spring is not coming? The spring breeze cannot blow outside Yumen Pass.

"Two Poems from Liangzhou" is a collection of poems by Wang Zhihuan, a poet of the Tang Dynasty. The first poem depicts the special feeling of overlooking the Yellow River from a special perspective. At the same time, it also shows the magnificent and desolate scenery of the border area. It is tragic and desolate, exuding a sense of generosity. The severe cold in the border area reflects the defense of the border. The lamentation of the conscripts who could not return to their hometown was not depressing, but heroic and broad; the second poem reflected the relationship between the Tang Dynasty and the foreign tribes in the north, writing about a northern Hu leader who came to the Tang Dynasty to seek peace and marriage but failed. It can fulfill its wish, and by describing its actions and psychology, it can highlight the strength of the Tang Dynasty from the side.
