Bai Juyi, whose word is Lotte, advocates that writing poems should reflect reality. He was a great realistic poet in the Tang Dynasty, and was called "the three great poets in the Tang Dynasty" together with Li Bai and Du Fu.
When Bai Juyi was young, he roamed the south of the Yangtze River and served as an official in Hangzhou and Suzhou. He knows a lot about Jiangnan and likes it very much. Later, when he returned to Luoyang, he often missed Jiangnan, where he once lived. He expressed this emotion by writing poems. This is the first song in Memory of Jiangnan.
