Suiwan
Wang Anshi of the Song Dynasty
The moon reflects in the pale forest pond, and the wind smiles and speaks coolly. Looking down at the pity green net, a small stand stands with delicate fragrance.
Take your children with you to find something new, support your children and take a wild voyage. The relationship has been extended for a long time, and the passing years are cherished.
Translation
The moonlight shines on the quiet forest pond, and the cool wind is mixed with laughter. I bend down to take a look at the green and clear water, and stand for a while in the fragrance. Grab the kids and look for bright new flowers. Help the old man to go boating in the wild. I lingered for a long time. It is the end of the year, which makes people cherish the passing time even more.
Note: New ones are not newly ripe lotus seeds!
"Peeping" describes the poet's unwillingness to break the peaceful environment, leaning down to watch the water quietly. "Storage" expresses the static beauty of fragrance in motion. The last couplet reveals the main theme through narrative and emotion. It expresses the author's love for beautiful scenery and nostalgia and cherishment of good times.
The end of the year
The beginning of spring is the first of the twenty-four solar terms, but this solar term sometimes appears at the "beginning of the year" in the lunar calendar, and sometimes appears at the "end of the previous year" in the lunar calendar , the latter situation is called "Suiwan" (Suiwan, that is, "the end of the year"), and it is also called "Inner Spring" among the people.
[Note] 1. Lvjing: refers to water. 2.: bright, often used to describe the color of flowers. 3. Yanyuan: lingering in the translation and original poem.
