Lingshi is located at the southernmost tip of Jinzhong, adjacent to Xiaoyi in Jiaokou, Lvliang and Huozhou in Linfen, which can be said to be influenced by the languages of the three countries.
Shanxi dialect is very miscellaneous. One county has one language, and even one county has different languages. Many words and sounds can't be spelled with pinyin letters.
