Apologize to your daughter-in-law (an apology poem specially written by Li Bai for his wife)

Many poets have written romantic poems to their wives on the occasion of their wedding, such as Li Shangyin's "Opening and Closing Shu as Naive", Bai Juyi's "Death in the Dust Cave" and Su Shi's "Cold Jade and Fine Skin". ...

Or beautiful, or solemn, or disgusting, all show their deep affection.

The funniest poem is an apology poem written by Li Bai to his wife. Every sentence is in vernacular, which makes people laugh and cry after reading it.

This poem is called "Inner Giving", and the full text is as follows:

360 days, drunk every day.

Although she is Li Bai's wife, she is different from her wife.

This poem has no sweet words, but it makes people feel affectionate, straightforward and funny.

Li Bai was a romantic poet in the Tang Dynasty and an idol of countless people.

But when it comes to marrying Li Bai, I'm afraid not many people want to.

He is a poet and a prodigal son. He has been married four times in his life.

The first wife was the granddaughter of former Prime Minister Xu. In fact, she didn't get married, because at that time, she had been living in her father-in-law's house. According to the present statement, she was the son-in-law.

Although Li Bai was depressed by the life of being dependent on others, Xu Shi's gentleness gave him some comfort. After they got married, they also sang in harmony.

Unfortunately, the good times did not last long. An illness took away Xu Shi and Li Bai's nostalgia for the Xu family.

Soon, he moved to Donglu with his children, where he met the second woman in his life, Liu.

Some people say that Liu is the wife that Li Bai wants to marry, while others say that she is just Li Bai's lover.

The difference between Liu and Li Bai's other women is that she doesn't understand Li Bai's romance and thinks that Li Bai is a prodigal son who can only write poems. Li Bai once wrote "Poems of Friends in Snow", which is said to have been written by this Liu.

He also married his third wife in Donglu. This woman didn't leave her last name. She gave birth to a son to Li Bai.

When he was traveling abroad, he left a lot of land to his wife for management, which shows that he still trusted him.

Unfortunately, this woman died less than five years after they got married.

In 744 AD, Li Bai met his last wife, the granddaughter of former Prime Minister Zong Chuke, in Kaifeng, Henan.

About this marriage, there was also a story of "a thousand dollars for a wall".

When Li Bai, Du Fu and Gao Shi visited Liangyuan, Li Bai left a poem on the wall, which happened to be seen by Zong Shi.

At that time, the monks in the garden were preparing to wipe the ink off the wall. When the master saw it, he stopped him and bought the wall for 1200 silver.

Later, Li Bai took "Poems of the Liangyuan Garden" as the bride price, and the Zongs took the white wall as the bride price, and they married Li Bai, which was a much-told story.

In the "An Shi Rebellion", Li Bai was imprisoned for being on the wrong side and finally exiled Yelang.

Although he was pardoned in Baidicheng, I don't know why he didn't go back to find Zong, but went to Dangtu to be with his uncle Li.

In other words, although he and the master had a good start, the ending was not satisfactory.

Looking at Li Bai's four marriages, there is almost no satisfaction, which is probably due to his temper.

Let's look at this poem again. According to textual research, it was written in 737 AD, shortly after he married his first wife, Xu Shi.

We also know that Li Bai was a heavy drinker all his life, and his wife, Xu, was naturally very worried about him and advised him from time to time.

Li Bai knew he was guilty and couldn't stop drinking, so he wrote such an apology poem.

The first two sentences of the poem are his true portrayal, and he is drunk every day for 360 days a year.

The last two sentences compare themselves with Taichang and express their deep apologies to their wives.

"Taichang's wife" refers to the wife of Taichang Zhou Ze, who was in charge of rites and music in the Eastern Han Dynasty.

Like Li Bai, he is a heavy drinker and likes to fast. He often stays in the fasting palace and doesn't go home.

Because he is old, his wife often visits him.

Zhou Ze not only didn't appreciate his wife, but also felt bored and even sent her to prison for punishment.

It can be said that when I met a husband like Zhou Ze, his wife lived under the same roof for eight generations.

Although Li Bai is bohemian, at least he still has some warmth for his wife. He compared himself to "too often" and felt guilty for his wife.

He knows that he is not a good husband and gets drunk every day. Not only did his wife not get his care, but she also took care of him in turn, and he regretted it.

He said it in a self-deprecating tone with a free and easy sense of humor, which made people laugh and cry.

However, even if he feels guilty, he can't "stop drinking". He must be very helpless as a wife.

-End-

After reading it, remember to give Brother Kai a compliment.
