Xiling Snow Mountain Snow Mountain is 5364 meters above sea level, which is the highest peak in Chengdu. It is called the "Alps" of the East, and there are beautiful and spectacular snows all year round. Unable to resist the temptation of Du Fu's poems, we also decided to explore the wonders of this southern "snow mountain". The winter wind in Chengdu whizzed past the window, and the houses with white walls and gray roofs outside the window became shadowy. The mist around the mountain makes people forget the bleak and endless winter. Along the way, we came to the gate of Xiling Snow Mountain: Xiling Cableway.
Boarding the cable car, crossing one ridge after another, one mountain after another, one piece of green, endless. Because of its high altitude, Xiling Snow Mountain has different tourism themes all year round: enjoying azaleas in spring, skiing in summer, watching maple leaves in autumn and skiing in winter.
At the end of the ropeway, we changed to Xiling Snow Mountain Bus. Five minutes later, we finally reached the key point of our trip-ski resort, which is the largest and best equipped alpine ski resort in China. Every year from 1 1 to March, there is 60 cm of snow. In the vast ski resort snow, tourists are bustling, enjoying snow, playing with snow, making snowmen, having snowball fights and riding sledges. Jumping in the fog, small black or white hats, and colorful scarves swaying in the cold wind are all telling every vivid detail of winter in this snow country, which makes people eager to blend in.
The "Yin-Yang boundary" at the top of Xiling Snow Mountain is a unique place, which is located at a big pass on Baishagang. The white mountain is 1000 meters long, the ridge top is only 2 meters wide, and the rock walls are like knives and axes. It is not only a watershed, but also a dividing line between different climates. The climate in the west is the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, which is cold and dry. The eastern part has a basin climate, which is warm and humid. 4. Close the pan/tilt
Take the sightseeing cableway to Sun Moon Lake, and stand in an open space halfway up the mountain, which is the observation deck. You can see the scenery of Xiling Mountain from Yuntai. Seeing the ever-changing wonders of the sea of clouds in Yuntai, especially on sunny days, is the best geographical location to see the sea of clouds. The rolling sea of clouds and surging waves seem to be in a fairyland outside the sky. There is a poem that says: Who made the Millennium Tower? You will be shocked when you board the plane. At present, the sky is rough and the sea is covered with dark clouds. Take the high-altitude sightseeing cable car to Sun Moon Lake, and then to the grotesque forest to Yuntai. You can also go to Guihualing from Yuntai. You can swim here and then return to the ski resort. Living at the foot of the mountain, you can go back to Huashuiwan and bathe in natural hot springs to wash away the fatigue of the day.
5. Panda Forest
Xiling Snow Mountain is rich in vegetation, dense forest and pleasant climate. It is a natural shelter and breeding habitat for giant pandas. The "panda forest" is a place where giant pandas haunt many times, so it was developed and named as a souvenir. Covers an area of several hundred acres, more than four kilometers. It is dominated by forest scenery and rich water features, especially rhododendron forest, arrow bamboo forest and hemlock forest. Through the forest of rare plants and Yuanyang pond, you can reach Du Fu Caotang. In the meantime, the winding path is secluded, tactfully undulating and fascinating. In spring and summer, azaleas are in full bloom and arrowheads are flourishing, which is comparable to others. In autumn, trees are swaying, birds are singing and flowers are fragrant, frogs are singing and drums are beating, and bridges are flowing; After winter, thousands of trees are withered, covered with snow, and various tree species have different shapes. "Panda Forest" is a garden that highlights the ecology of snow-capped mountains. Remember: don't attack the giant panda!
6. Sun and Moon Plain
Sun-Moon Plain is a primitive world, where the sea of clouds is vast and magnificent, and there are more magical Buddha's rays, thousands of sunrises, and the brilliance of rainbow round sun. At this point, visitors can enjoy the magnificent scenery of Yun Fei and feel the ethereal Penglai wonderland. The sun is shining at night, and the night is bright, so you can pick the stars. The surrounding trees "flashed" for a moment and looked out, brightly lit and connected with heaven and earth, just like heaven and earth. 7. The longest ropeway in China
The two-person cable car ropeway at the ski resort is 2500m long, which is the longest ropeway in China, with a drop of1000m, which is the largest drop in Asia. It connects the Sun Moon Lake scenic spot with the ski resort at an altitude of 3,250 meters, and the one-way running time takes 40 minutes. With the change of tourists' climbing height, four monsoon belts can be seen in the same season. When the low mountain areas with an altitude of 1300m to 2 100m are covered with green flowers, the high mountain areas above 3200m are covered with snow. Hong Shijian is a natural observation point with an altitude of 3312m.
