Story background
The heroine in the poem is a beautiful princess. Her father married her to a rich boy, but she was deeply in love with a man of humble origin. The hero is an ordinary soldier. He loves the princess, but they can't be together because of their different identities. In order to meet the hero, the princess decided to set up a green tent in the bedroom so that the hero could sneak into her room.
operation sequence/order
1. Preparation materials: green tent, satin, string, needle and thread, iron hook and wooden stick.
2. Cut the satin into four strips according to the required size, two and two short strips respectively.
3. Sew two long strips together and two short strips together to form a big rectangle.
4. Fix the string on the stick and the satin rectangle on the string.
5. Fix the hook on the roof and tie the rope to the hook.
6. Hang the green gauze tent around the satin rectangle to form a tent surrounded by all sides.
7. Tie silks and satins at the entrance of the green tent to facilitate access.

The green gauze tent is an ancient tent, which is widely used in aristocratic bedrooms because of its transparency and lightness. In the Tang Dynasty, green gauze became a symbol of love and witnessed many sad love stories. By describing the love story between a beautiful woman and the man she loves deeply, Qing expresses her infinite yearning for love and her helpless resistance to fate. This poem is not only one of the representative works of love poems in Tang Dynasty, but also one of the indispensable classics in China ancient literature.
