In the 1980s, the two countries continued their military confrontation, and border conflicts broke out in Luojiapingshan, Fakashan, Koulinshan, Laoshan and Yinzheshan for ten years. In the early 1990s, relations between the two countries gradually returned to normal, and the land boundary was finally demarcated.
Looking back, in the ten-year self-defense counterattack against China, hundreds of thousands of young Vietnamese soldiers fought bloody battles and sacrificed heroically for the security of the motherland. Honor and flowers were dedicated to the heroes who made meritorious deeds and received awards. The vast majority of unsung heroes who are unknown and selfless are indeed the heroes who support the victory of the whole campaign. Especially those soldiers who died in foreign countries, they have no honor and flowers, but their spirit needs us to pay homage and comfort.
For a long time, their identity was "missing persons", and their names were not engraved on the list of the dead in that war, because they were buried in a foreign country, with no remains and no records of burial and handover; So they have no tombstones, no names, and no home for their souls.
Eighteen went to the army, and five years passed;
The battlefield punishes evil and bandits, writing games and writing youth.
This is a short poem written by a father to commemorate his son's self-defense counterattack against Vietnam. Between the lines, he expressed his father's grief and indignation at the loss of his beloved son and the highest praise for his fearless revolutionary sacrifice. Then, let's meet this soldier named Yin Tao.
Yin Tao, 1956 1 1 was born in a revolutionary soldier's family. His father joined the Huaihe detachment of the New Fourth Army in his early years and transferred to the public security department after liberation. Yin Tao received his father's patriotic education from childhood, and when he grew up, he was a good young man who actively demanded progress.
1975 Yin Tao, who swore to defend the motherland since childhood, responded to the call of the country and joined the army to become a glorious PLA soldier. Because of Yin Tao's positive performance in the company and excellent professional level, he was gloriously promoted to vice monitor of the radio class in the second year of enlistment.
1978 before the self-defense counterattack against Vietnam started, he decided to retire and the receiving unit was found in his hometown. However, with the approaching of the war, Yin delayed his retirement and actively applied to the higher organizations to go to the front to participate in the battle. The leader of the regiment considered that Yin Tao was about to retire from the army, and the number of expansion places for the signal soldiers had been selected. At that time, Yin Tao's request for participation in the war was not approved. Yin Tao, who learned the news afterwards, was not discouraged. Once again, he found the leader of the regiment with the gauntlet and expressed his strong request to sign up for the war to the political commissar of the regiment.
1February, 979, Yin Tao and some comrades in his former army were expanded to the 50th Army150th Division, and he himself was also expanded to the 448th regiment communication company as the monitor of the communication class.
On March 5, 1979, the then 150 division received an order from its superior, asking the troops to be ready to participate in the war at any time, covering the retreat of the frontline troops and searching for the missing and sacrificed personnel of our army.
1On March 8, 979, Yin Tao joined the team and comrades in the retreat of our 448th regiment. Due to the subjective error of the superior commander, the retreat route of the 448 regiment did not choose the road with safer road conditions, but chose the mountainous area with very dangerous terrain and dense jungle. Due to the dense jungle and dangerous terrain on the retreat route, the soldiers of the 448th Regiment met with crazy interception to ambush the enemy in advance.
The situation at that time was very tragic. The enemy hiding in the dark fired at our soldiers with all kinds of light and heavy weapons. Suddenly, the smoke filled the air and gunshots rang through the valley. The blocked soldiers of our army began to look for favorable terrain to fight back tenaciously. Yin Tao, who was carrying the radio, also went into battle.
Due to the limited ammunition, Yin Tao, who ran out of ammunition, was quickly surrounded by the enemy. In the face of the constant intimidation and surrender of the enemy, soldier Yin Tao remembered the oath of joining the army in the radio station, embraced the radio station, resolutely sounded the glorious bomb and made a heroic sacrifice.
After the war, due to some complicated historical reasons, Yin Tao, who died, was initially listed as a missing person by the army to inform his family. Later, under the call of other comrades-in-arms, after many twists and turns, soldier Yin Tao was finally assessed as a martyr.
Regrettably, our martyr Yin Tao has been buried in a foreign land. His tombstone is just a monument. A young and enthusiastic young man turned his love for his motherland, friendship with his comrades, responsibility and attachment to his family into a loud noise!
Our party is correct and wise. In the face of some policy mistakes in the self-defense counterattack against Vietnam, a fair and just historical evaluation and pension standard were quickly given.
1On July 2, 979, the General Political Department of the People's Liberation Army and the Ministry of Civil Affairs jointly issued a notice: "As it has been a long time since the end of the war, the repatriation of prisoners of war between China and Vietnam has ended, and the exact news has not been obtained so far, all soldiers will be treated as sacrificed, and a pension will be given to their families according to the current standards."
According to the notice, many families of the missing soldiers have obtained martyr certificates issued by the Ministry of Civil Affairs. I think those spirits who died in a foreign country have at least got due respect and some spiritual comfort.
20 18 Tomb-Sweeping Day, Guangxi Longzhou Martyrs Cemetery built a wisdom wall for the missing people who left here in the self-defense counterattack against Vietnam. The names of 332 missing soldiers of the 448th Regiment were engraved on it, and those soldiers buried deep in the jungles of northern Vietnam finally went home.
