Song title: Listen to Mom Talk About the Past
Singer: China National Broadcasting Station Children’s Choir
Lyrics: Guan Hua
< p>Music: Qu XixianThe moon moves through the white lotus-like clouds
The evening breeze brings bursts of happy singing
We sit high Beside the grain pile
Listen to mother talk about the past events
We sat next to the tall grain pile
Listen to mother talk about the past events
My mother had no land at that time
My whole life depended on my two hands
The sweat flowed in the landlord’s fiery fields
But my mother ate Wild vegetables and chaff
The winter wind and snow howled like a wolf
My mother was wearing tattered single clothes
She went to sew a fox fur robe for the landlord
I fell down on the snow, cold and hungry
How many years of suffering have passed
My mother is looking forward to the good times today
The moon moves through the white lotus-like clouds
The evening breeze carries bursts of happy songs
We sit next to the tall grain piles
Listen to my mother Talking about the past events
We sat next to the tall grain pile
Listen to my mother talking about the past events

Creative background:
In 1957, Guan Hua returned to his hometown to live for a long time and had many different feelings. He saw such a rural night scene with a bright moon. In the sky, a group of children sat around a tall grain pile, listening to their mother tell the story of the past, and then they wrote the lyrics.
After Guan Hua returned to Beijing, he called Qu Xixian and told him that he had written a lyric for the children. When Qu Xixian took a look, it didn't look like lyrics, but more like a narrative prose poem. She had to study it over and over again. Find inspiration. Gradually, she was moved by the sincere emotions and simple artistic conception between the lines. Qu Xixian composed the music using the piano.
