China Jiangcheng refers to which city?

China Jiangcheng refers to Jilin City, Jilin Province, the only city with the same name in China. Jilin is one of the 32 megacities in China, the fifth largest city in Northeast China and the second largest city in Jilin Province. Jilin Province was named after Jilin City. Jilin is the largest city in Northeast China except Shenyang in Qing Dynasty, and it is also the only recorded city named after Jiangcheng. The name "Jiangcheng" comes from the poem of Kangxi's eastward journey to Jilin City.

The name of "Jiangcheng" in Wuhan comes from the people and is not recognized by China countries and history.

Jilin is surrounded by mountains and the Songhua River swirls, forming a natural beauty of "green hills on all sides and water on three sides, mountains in one city and rivers in half a city". Therefore, the name "Jiangcheng" comes from the sentence "Join the dock Jiangcheng" in Song of Songhua River written by Emperor Kangxi during his eastern tour, so Jilin City is also called "Jiangcheng".
