The English version of A Dream of Red Mansions (191510-2009165438+123 October) is written by Yang, a native of Tianjin, whose ancestral home is Jiliang Village, Baoji Town, Xuyi, Anhui Province (now Huai 'an City, Jiangsu Province). He is a famous translator and translator in China.
In the early 1960s, Yang, Yang, Yang and Yang began to translate A Dream of Red Mansions, but the translation work was once interrupted, and it was finally completed in 1974. On 1978- 1980, three volumes were published by foreign languages press, which was translated into a dream of red mansions. The above translations have been well received abroad and have a wide influence. 1993 received an honorary doctorate from the University of Hong Kong.
