Feng Zhi: We listened to the heavy rain in the gale.

Author: Zhou Mian

We are listening to the rainstorm in the gale,

We are so lonely under the light,

We are in this small hut

Even in the middle of our appliances

There is a distance of thousands of miles from Wan Li:

The bronze stove is yearning for the seedlings in the deep mountains

The porcelain pot is yearning. We hugged each other,

as if we couldn't help ourselves.

The strong wind blew everything into the sky,

The heavy rain drenched everything into the soil,

Only this faint light red

proved the temporary stay of our lives.

"meditation" and "philosophy" are a major feature of feng zhi's poems in the 194s. Poems such as "We Listen to the Rainstorm in the Gale" attracted wide attention of poets and scholars in the rear area at that time. Compared with those anti-Japanese war poems with flashing swords and shadows, it obviously has some shortcomings such as being far away from the anti-Japanese front and lacking fighting spirit. However, the value of works of art is not a standard or a need that can be summarized and represented. The key is whether it can provide something for people for a long time, even a small discovery-as long as it is innovation, it has an eternal value. In this sense, we can get a variety of life enlightenment by appreciating this poem.

Here, first of all, the relationship between man and nature deserves our deep thought. Sometimes, man is not the master of nature. On the contrary, for example, in the storm, he seems so lonely, and "faint residual red" is "confirming the temporary stay of our life", and finite and infinite exist everywhere: the space in the hut is so narrow, and there is "a distance of thousands of miles from Wan Li" between us and the appliances ... Therefore, it can be said that such poems have reached a philosophical height. This reminds us that the author is not only a poet, but also attacked existential philosophy, from which it is not difficult to see some influence.

In addition, we can also find the fact that although the influence of western culture on Feng Zhi is enormous, the influence of China traditional culture on him is even more deeply rooted. "The copper furnace yearns for the seedlings in the deep mountains, and the porcelain pot yearns for the clay beside the river"; "The strong wind blows everything into the sky, and the heavy rain drenches everything into the soil". Isn't this antithesis the expression of China traditional culture? This also shows that any attempt to deny traditional culture is unacceptable. Feng Zhi's experience and poems prove that only by using the culture of all mankind can we enrich ourselves.
