The origin of large-scale battle hymns

Mass is the title song of Era's third album of the same name.

The original of this song is Bran's Poem, the first of the Trilogy Trilogy of Trilogy of Trilogy of Triumph by German composer Orff. Strong and compact rhythm, but also beautiful and holy melody collocation, creating a kind of strength and pressure that people and voices can't touch.

This song is magnificent and magnificent. It was once thought to be adapted from the "Song of the First Armored Division of the German SS", but it was misinformed. Later, many artists like Michael Jackson adapted it into a magnificent March and opening song.

Detailed introduction:

German Bran's Poetry and French Mass

1. Bran's poem

1803, a large number of ancient poetry and drama scrolls were found in the Bran monastery in Upper Bavaria, Germany, which caused a shock in the ideological, academic and artistic circles. These poems and plays are written in French, obscure medieval Latin and ancient Central Highland German.

The first French wandering poet who moved to Bavaria from 13 to 14 century, later gathered a large number of wandering scholars and clergy from Britain, France and Germany, and was famous for writing satirical rhymes and poems praising wine and debauchery.

Bran's poems reflect the creative style of these wandering poets. These poems have different themes and styles, including wine songs, solemn love poems and indulgent love songs, religious poems and pastoral lyrics, and satirical poems directed at the church and the government.

From 65438 to 0847, German scholar Schmole summarized them and published them as Bran's Poems.

While studying French medieval music, carl orff read Bran's Poems at 1935, which was greatly shocked. He adapted these medieval music and poems and gave this strange poem a new and eternal life with rough, powerful and passionate music.

Orff's Poems of Bran was completed on 1936. This is a secular song suitable for solo and chorus, with instrumental music and wonderful stage scenes. This magnificent work premiered in Frankfurt, Germany on June 8, 1937. It brings people into a completely different world, and its exotic customs and magical music awaken the joyful impulse in human nature with incredible power.

2. Volkswagen

Mass is close to Hublin's poems Destiny and Queen of the World, both of which are from medieval French religious music.

Era combines the well-known poem of Carmina Burana Bran with the classic song Divano of ERA II, and the connection between them is very wonderful. Although it is not as seamless as Ingmar after all, Zhuyu has reached such a level before, which is commendable.

However, the so-called "SS Lightning Troops on the March" we heard was not actually the "Mass" of the French Times band.

Friends who know Latin can have a look. Let's just say it's a rumor If there is any connection between them, it is that they all borrowed religious songs from medieval France.

"Mass" has no direct relationship with the military song "March of the SS Lightning Force" of the First Armored Division of the German Armed SS.

3. Volkswagen

The song "Mass" comes from medieval French religious songs. With the increasing influence of France in western Europe in the18th century, French became popular in the upper classes of European countries, and French music and songs were widely played and sung in Germany.

4. "SS lightning troops are advancing"

In 1930s, the famous German composer carl orff adapted it into the opening chorus "Oh! Goddess of fate.

And Hitler also likes his music very much, so it is possible to play "Oh! As the tune of the SS panzergrenadiers' military song, the tune of "Goddess of Destiny" is called "SS Lightning Troops Forward".

More interestingly, because there are many German military songs, no one has actually confirmed that this is the military song of the Fuehrer grenadiers.
