This couplet should say that Chu has produced talents, and this era is very prosperous, not this place is very prosperous.
During the Song Taizong period, Zhu Dong, the satrap of Tanzhou (now Changsha), followed the old school to establish an academy, which was first named Yuelu Mountain Academy and later renamed Yuelu Academy. In the eighth year of the Northern Song Dynasty (A.D. 10 15), Zhou Shi became the president of Yuelu Academy. There were hundreds of students at the peak, which was a grand occasion at that time. Zhou Shi's deeds of promoting learning were soon known to Zhao Heng of Song Zhenzong.
The famous phrase "There is a golden house in the book, and there is Yan Ruyu in the book" comes from this emperor.
