Haitang Huaxi scenic spot
The transformed Haitang Huaxi Scenic Area is divided into two parts: the western part mainly watches the varieties of Xifu Haitang, Jinxing Haitang and Snowball Haitang, and the eastern part displays the new excellent varieties, including 28 varieties such as Flame, Louisa, Chun Xue, Fending, Fenpa, kells, Adam, Indian Magic and Doug. The 18th Begonia Flower Festival will also be held in Yuan Dadu Chengyuan Ruins Park in the middle and early April, to publicize the knowledge of low-carbon environmental protection, green space adoption, variety diversity of begonia flowers and so on. In particular, a popular science corridor with illustrations of begonia culture will be built in the North American begonia variety planting area to better publicize popular science, facilitate tourists to identify and watch begonia, and enhance the garden taste.

The newly-built East Area displays nearly 2,000 new and superior varieties of Haitang Huaxi Scenic Area, among which Louisa, Chun Xue, Pink Roof, Torch, kells, Adam, Shengfeng, Indian Magic, Doug, Royal Family, Snowdrop, Fire on the Plateau, Donna, Robinson, Red Barron, Diamond, Flat Top, Flame, Strawberry Jelly, Xiyangyang and kurei are new varieties introduced from North America.
Baling is a domestic variety. With the addition of Xifu, Jinxing, Tiegeng, Snowball and Tripterygium wilfordii in No.3 scenic spot, there will be 28 kinds of begonia trees after eastward expansion, making it the largest begonia garden in Beijing.
