Modern poetry group. Founded in Shanghai in September 1932, it is a mass poetry group under the leadership of the Leftist League. Its founders are Mu Mutian, Yang Sao, Ren Jun (Luxembourg), Pu Feng (Huang Pufang) and others. The mission of the Chinese Poetry Society is: "to study poetry theory, produce poetry works, introduce and strive for the popularization of poetry." His view of poetry contains two requirements. First, it requires poets to grasp and reflect reality from the standpoint of "(proletarian) ideology" (that is, "the consciousness of the new century"), that is, to realize the "ideology of poetry". The second is to demand the "popularization of poetry and poets". ("The Establishment of the Chinese Poetry Society") In addition to the Shanghai General Conference, the Chinese Poetry Society has also established branches in Peking, Guangzhou, Qingdao, and Tokyo, Japan.
