What is the classic masterpiece of Chinese style in The Book of Songs?

The classic representative of the national style of The Book of Songs is Nan Zhou Guanju.

Original text:

Guan Heming's osprey, accompanied by the small continent of the river. A beautiful and virtuous woman is a good spouse of a gentleman.

Mix shepherd's purse and salvage it from left to right. A beautiful and virtuous woman wakes up to pursue her.

Vernacular translation

Guan Guan and Ming's pheasant doves are accompanied by small and medium-sized rivers. A beautiful and virtuous woman is really a good spouse of a gentleman.

The ragged shepherd's purse keeps picking from left to right. A beautiful and virtuous woman will never forget when she wakes up.

The short poem Nan Zhou Guanju occupies a special position in the history of China literature. It is the first book in The Book of Songs, the oldest book in China literature. Although judging from the nature, some fairy tales should have been produced earlier, as written records, it is a late thing. Therefore, we can almost say that when we open the history of China literature, the first thing that catches our eye is Guan Ju.

Because Nan Zhou Guan Ju not only admitted that the love between men and women was a natural and normal feeling, but also demanded that this feeling should be restrained to conform to the social virtue, later generations often took what they needed and extended it, while people who resisted the inhuman oppression of feudal ethics often claimed the right to satisfy their personal feelings under the banner of Guan Ju's authority. The so-called "poetry can't reach the truth" can be seen in Guan Ju.
