There are nearly 1/5 poems about the moon, and many of them have become eternal songs. There are many famous books about the moon in the textbooks used in primary and secondary schools at present. If Chinese and geography teachers in primary and secondary schools can learn from each other, it will be helpful to classroom teaching. The following are some quatrains extracted from the voluminous ancient poems of the Tang Dynasty, which are divided into nine categories according to the moon phase for the reference of Chinese and geography teachers in primary and secondary schools.
The first category: write a month without a month. Example: "In the dim moonlight, wild geese are flying, and the leader of the Tatars is fleeing in the dark. We chased them, and the horse was lightly burdened, and the snow burden of our bow and our sword. " (Lu LUN? The poem "Dark Moon" is actually dark at night, but there is no moon. Please note that although the poem says "the moon is dark and the wind is high", there is no moon in the sky. Although there is no moon in the sky, it doesn't mean that the time is around the "new moon", because the reason for the "dark moon" is very clear in the poem: therefore, it is completely different from the new moon that was invisible because of heavy snow and cloudy days before and after the first day. The so-called new moon refers to the moon phase on the first day of the lunar calendar. At this time, the moon and the sun are on the same side of the earth, rising and falling with the sun, so they can't be seen.
The second category: the waning moon at the beginning of the month. Example 1: "A setting sun is spreading in the water, half river rustling and half river red. It's a pity that the third night of September is like a demon moon and a bow. " (Bai Juyi? In the poem, "the third day of September" is the day of writing poetry, and "the moon is like a bow" means writing the waning moon at the beginning of the month, that is, going to the waning moon. "The moon with fine eyes" refers to the moon phases in March and April of the lunar calendar. At this time, the moon is located at about 45 degrees east of the sun, appears at low altitude in the west or southwest at sunset, and falls below the horizon 2-3 hours after sunset. The visible part is the western edge of the front of the moon, which is inverted C-shaped. Example 2: "The cool moon is like a brow hanging over Liuwan, and the more you look at the Zhongshan mirror. Peach blossoms rained in Lanxi for three days, and carp came to the beach in the middle of the night. " (Dai Shulun? In the poem, "dog days" refers to the third day of the third lunar month, and "cool moon like eyebrows" refers to the eyebrow moon at the beginning of the month (as above), which is closely connected from top to bottom.
The third category: writing the first quarter moon. Example 1: "On a frosty night, Jiang Feng is sleepy. Hanshan Temple outside Gusu City, passenger ships are ringing at midnight. " (Zhang Ji? The poem Midnight and Moonsetting means "the first quarter moon". The first quarter moon is the moon phase on the seventh and eighth day of the lunar calendar. At this time, the moon is located about 90' east of the sun and appears in the southern sky at sunset. It rises and sets at noon and sets at midnight. The visible part is the western half of the front of the big D-shaped moon. Example 2: "When the fishing boat returns, it is not tied to the boat, and Jiangcun sleeps at dusk. Even if it is blown away by the wind overnight, it will only be near the shallow waters of Lu Hua. " (uncle sikong? When the moon sets in the poem, people are "sleeping", that is, sleepy, indicating that the night is deep. The "moon setting" in the middle of the night is also the first quarter moon, which is the phase of the moon with time.
The fourth category: writing full moon (looking at the moon). Example 1: "On the riverside, the levee is flat, and the girls on the levee are lined up. After singing all the new words, I can't see them. Red clouds reflect trees and birds sing. " (rachel? Trekking)-This poem was written in the evening of spring. On the bank of the river, all the girls were singing. In the poem, "the moon rises" means "the moon rises in the evening". Obviously, the moon phase is a full moon. The full moon is the phase of the lunar calendar 15 and 6. At this time, the moon is located to the east of the sun 180'. Sunset, sunrise and sunset rise and fall, visible all night, shaped like a jade plate. Example 2: "There is such bright light at the foot of my bed. Could it have been frosted?"? . Looking up, I found that it was moonlight, sinking again, and I suddenly thought of home. " (Li Bai? Silent night thinking)-The "bright moon" in the poem is a full moon, and "looking up" means that the bright moon is hung high. At the full moon, the moon is only high in the sky at half moon. Sleepless at night, wrote down the endless homesickness of wanderers living in different places.
The fifth category: writing the first quarter moon. Example 1: "When people are idle, sweet-scented osmanthus falls, and the night is quiet and the mountains are empty. When the moon rises, the birds are surprised, and when the spring flows, "(Wang Wei? Unknown sword)-In the poem, "the night is still" (dead of night) and "the moon rises" refers to the time of the last quarter of the moon. The last quarter moon is the lunar phase on the 2nd1day and 2nd day of the lunar calendar. At this time, the moon is 90 degrees west of the sun and appears in the southern sky at sunrise. It rises and sets at midnight and sets at noon. The visible part is the eastern half of the front of the moon, which is shaped like an inverted D-shape ... This is a realistic way to tell readers that the author wrote about the dead of night on the 2 nd1day and the 2 nd of the lunar calendar. Example 2: "Lonely light has not yet turned to profit and hurt parting. If you are a prostitute, there is no shortage of long circles. " (Lu guimeng? The moon becomes a string)-folks often compare the full moon to reunion and the lack of the moon to parting. This poem is about a wife who is sad at the lack of a moon and hates that husband and wife can't get together often. Imagine, if she is Chang 'e, the moon is full and people are round, and husband and wife will never be separated. The first moon in the poem is the second moon, which reflects the feeling of missing women and staying up all night.
The sixth category, the waning moon at the end of the month, is the last quarter moon. Example 1: "Looking for chapters and sentences, the eagle carves insects, and Xiao Yue hangs a jade bow as a curtain. I don't see Liaoshui every year. Where does the article cry in the autumn wind? " (Li Mao? Nanyuan)-"Xiaoyue" in the poem refers to the moon in the morning, and "Jade Bow" refers to the waning moon after the first quarter moon, that is, the waning moon at the end of the month. The waning moon or moth-eyebrow moon at the end of the month is the lunar phase on the 25th and 6th of the lunar calendar. At this time, the moon is about 45 degrees west of the sun, and it appears at the low altitude in the east and southeast before sunrise, only 2? Visible within D3 hours, shaped like a C letter. This poem is about reading day and night with the moon. Example 2: "The desert sand is like snow, and the Yanshan moon is like a hook. Why be a golden brain and step on the clear autumn? " (Li Mao? Ma Shi)-"The moon is like a hook" in the poem, that is, the waning moon (as above). The first two sentences seem to be written about scenery, but in fact they are written about lack of ambition and sleepless nights; The last two sentences express lofty sentiments and ambitions.
The seventh category: writing about the moon phase changes. Example 1: "Now that you are out, you don't care about the disabled machine any more." Thinking of you is like a full moon, and it decreases every night. "Zhang Jiuling? The "full moon" in the poem means "full moon", that is, "the moon on the 15th and 6th"; "Brightness decreases every night" means that after the full moon, the phase of the moon turns into a convex moon, a chord moon and a waning moon in turn, and the visible part becomes thinner and thinner; The last two sentences are "Missing my husband makes my body as thin and haggard as the moon after the full moon". Example 2: "I want to go to heaven on my westward journey, and I want to see the moon twice when I leave home. "I don't know where to stay tonight, and there is no one in Pingsha Wan Li." (Cen Can? In the poem, "seeing the moon" refers to seeing the moon, and "two circles" refers to two full moons, so the second sentence tells readers that the author has been away from home for a month or two.
The eighth category: people who don't write specific moon phases. Example: "It's dark and windy in the moon, so we can't find our way. Ling can't sing at all, and she knows it in this pond. " (What about Cui? The first two sentences of this poem say that young men and women meet on the water, but they can't meet for a while because of the dark moon and the high wind. The "dark moon" in the poem refers to the hazy moonlight (not the absence of the moon). Meeting is usually in the middle of the night, and there is a moon in the middle of the night (although the moonlight is dim), indicating that the time is in the first half of the lunar calendar.
Category 9: The written name of the moon phase is not true. Example: "There are embers in the fire, and there are only a handful of poor villages. No one is fighting for a small crossing, and the moon is cold and sand. " (Qian Qi? In the poem, "crossing the river" refers to crossing the river in the early morning, and "waning moon" is generally understood as the waning moon at the end of the month (that is, the moon phases on the 25th and 6th day of the lunar calendar appear at the low altitude in the east at dawn), but the fourth sentence in the poem says that "only the waning moon falling in the west in the early morning can reflect the lonely beach". Obviously, the "waning moon" here should be a full moon or a downward convex moon.
In this paper, ancient poems are divided into nine categories according to the phases of the moon. Limited to space, each category can only give one or two examples. If there is anything wrong with the article, I would like to discuss it with my colleagues.

The third category: writing the first quarter moon. Example 1: "On a frosty night, Jiang Feng is sleepy. Hanshan Temple outside Gusu City, passenger ships are ringing at midnight. " (Zhang Jiyi-near Bofeng Bridge) In the poem, "midnight" and "the moon sets" mean "the first quarter of the moon". 2. Moon phase of profit and loss
The moon we see is sometimes like a curved eyebrow and sometimes like a round silver plate. This change in the moon's profit and loss is called "moon phase" change in astronomy. Why does the moon often change its appearance?
It turns out that the moon, like the earth, does not emit light by itself, but by reflecting sunlight.
The side illuminated by the sun is bright, and the side facing away from the sun is dark. The moon revolves around the revolving earth from west to east, and the relative positions between the sun, the earth and the moon are constantly changing, so that the bright hemisphere of the moon sometimes faces the earth, sometimes sideways, and even turns its back on the earth. In this way, from the earth, the shape of the moon will change regularly.
On the first day of each month in the lunar calendar, when the moon moves between the sun and the earth, the moon faces the earth with its dark side and rises and falls with the sun, so people can't see it. At this time, the moon phase is called "new moon" or "new moon".
After the new moon, the moon gradually moved out of the area between the earth and the sun. At this time, we began to see that a small part of the moon was illuminated by sunlight and shaped like a curved thin sheet, so the moon phase at this time was called "the waning moon". This "waning moon" can only be seen in the western sky in the evening. By the eighth day of the eighth lunar month, from the perspective of the earth, the moon has moved to 90 degrees east of the sun. At this time, we can see the bright half of the west of the moon. At this time, the moon phase is called "winding". The first quarter moon can only be seen in the first half of the night, and then disappears in the west at midnight. After the first winding, the moon becomes round day by day, and we can see most of the bright hemispheres of the moon. At this time, the moon phase is called "convex moon".
On the fifteenth and sixteenth day of the lunar calendar, the moon runs across the celestial sphere to the opposite side of the sun, and the distance between the sun and the moon is 180, that is, the earth is located between the sun and the moon. Seen from the earth, all the light of the moon is directed towards the earth. At this time, the moon phase is called "full moon" or "full moon". The full moon rises in the east at dusk and sets in the west at dawn.
After the full moon, the moon becomes thinner and thinner as the position of the sun and the moon approaches. It went through the stages of convex moon, last quarter moon and waning moon in turn, and finally returned to the position of new moon.
In China, it is customary to call the waning moon in the second half of the month "waning moon".
The first quarter moon and the last quarter moon, the waning moon and the waning moon are similar in appearance, but their appearance time, position and bright surface direction are different. The waning moon and the first quarter moon appear in the western sky in the evening and the first half of the night respectively, and their "faces" are facing west, that is, the western half is bright; The waning moon and the last quarter moon appear in the eastern sky after dawn and midnight respectively, and their "faces" face the east, that is, the eastern half is bright. Because the date of the China lunar calendar is arranged according to the moon phases, the working people in ancient China sometimes rely on it to judge the date of the China lunar calendar and the approximate time of night.
It takes an average of 29.53 days for the moon to move from the new moon position to return to the new moon position again, which means that the replacement period of the moon phase is 29.53 days on average, which is called a "new moon".
Ancient Poetry and Moon Phase
The Moon Phase in Ancient Poetry: Su Dongpo: For example, Ode to Mujiang (Tang Bai Juyi): "A setting sun is sprinkled in the water, and half the river is rustling and half the river is red. On the third night of September, the dew is like a pearl and the moon is like a bow. " (moth eyebrow month at the beginning of the month); Yu Lin Ling (Song Liu Yong): "Where did you wake up tonight? Yang Liuan, Xiaofeng and the waning moon (end of the month); Night parking near Fengqiao (Don Zhang Ji): "Frosty night and Jiang Feng are worried about sleeping while fishing. Hanshan Temple outside Gusu City, the midnight bell goes to the passenger ship "(first quarter moon); "Birding Creek" (Wei): "When people are idle, osmanthus flowers fall, and the night is quiet and the mountains are empty. When the moon comes out, the birds are startled, and the sound is in the spring stream "(the second quarter of the moon); "Born in the West" (Song Ouyang Xiu) "Last January, the flower market was lit up like a day, the willow branches were on the moon, and people were about after dusk" (full moon); "Silent Night Thinking" (Tang Li Bai): "The foot of the bed is bright, is there frost? . Looking up, I found it was moonlight, sinking again, and I suddenly remembered home "(full moon).

The third category: writing the first quarter moon. Example 1: "On a frosty night, Jiang Feng is sleepy. Hanshan Temple outside Gusu City, passenger ships are ringing at midnight. " (Zhang Ji stays at Fengqiao at night)-In the poem, "midnight" and "the moon sets" mean "the first quarter moon". The first quarter moon is the moon phase on the seventh and eighth day of the lunar calendar. At this time, the moon is located about 90' east of the sun and appears in the southern sky at sunset. The bird is startled when the moon rises, and the spring brook is singing "(Wang Wei's Unknown Creek)-In the poem" Quiet at night "(dead of night), the" moon rises "refers to the time when the first quarter of the moon. Example 1: "Looking for chapters and sentences, the eagle carves insects, and Xiao Yue hangs a jade bow as a curtain. I don't see Liaoshui every year. Where does the article cry in the autumn wind? The waning moon or moth-eyebrow moon at the end of the month is the lunar phase on the 25th and 6th of the lunar calendar. At this time, the moon is located about 45 degrees west of the sun, and it appears in the east and southeast at low altitude before sunrise, only 2-3 hours before dawn, showing a C-shape. This poem is about reading day and night with the moon. Example 2: "The desert sand is like snow, and the Yanshan moon is like a hook. Why be a golden brain and step on the clear autumn? " (History of Li Maoma)-The moon is like a hook in the poem, that is, the waning moon (above). The first two sentences seem to be about scenery, but in fact they are about unpaid ambitions and sleepless nights; The last two sentences express lofty sentiments and ambitions.
The seventh category: writing about the moon phase changes. Example 1: "Now that you are out, you don't care about the disabled machine any more." Thinking of you is like a full moon, and it decreases every night. "(Zhang Jiuling was given by the monarch)-the" full moon "in the poem refers to the" full moon ",that is," 15 June "; "Brightness decreases every night" means that after the full moon, the phase of the moon turns into a convex moon, a chord moon and a waning moon in turn, and the visible part becomes thinner and thinner; The last two sentences are "Missing my husband makes my body as thin and haggard as the moon after the full moon". Example 2: "I want to go to heaven on my westward journey, and I want to see the moon twice when I leave home. "I don't know where to stay tonight, and there is no one in Pingsha Wan Li." (Cen Can's "Zhai Zhong Zuo")-In the poem, "seeing the moon" means seeing the moon, and "making two laps" means making two full moons, so the second sentence tells readers that the author has been away from home for a month or two.
The eighth category: people who don't write specific moon phases. Example: "It's dark and windy in the moon, so we can't find our way. Ling can't sing at all, and she knows it in this pond. " (Cui Xiaoqu)-The first two sentences of this poem say that young men and women meet on the water, but they can't meet because of the dark moon and high wind.
" (Untitled Qian Qi River Trip) —— The poem "Crossing the River" refers to crossing the river in the early hours of the morning, and the "waning moon" is generally understood as the waning moon at the end of the month (that is, the moon phases on the 25th and 6th of the lunar calendar appear at the low altitude in the east at dawn), but the fourth sentence in the poem says that "only the waning moon in the early morning reflects the lonely beach". Obviously, the "waning moon" here should be the moon phase.
