The mainstream of poetry in the fifties and sixties.
The upsurge of narrative poetry appeared in 1950s and 1960s. Narrative poems at that time mainly included short new life narrative poems, revolutionary historical narrative poems and national epics sorted out one after another. However, the occasional narrative poems in the history of new poetry, including those in the 1950s and 1960s, are mostly limited to completing a "grand narrative" and providing a structural framework based on linear thinking for this "grand narrative".
