Translation The Yangtze River connects Bashu and Hanzhong on the top, and connects Xiaoxiang, Wuyue on the bottom. When it is turbulent, the waves hit the shore, and the waves are like mountains. When it is calm, the water reaches the sky and is as bright as a flat mirror. Cao Cao's attempt to fill the river was like a farce, and Fu Jian's throwing a whip to cut off the river was even more ignorant and absurd. The fishermen sing on the river, the gulls play and fly, the sun sets in the west, and the moon rises in the east. How can it change even a little bit because of these crazy people? Fan Li, where is he now? It is not just a handful of loess that turned into pure dust; the good wind on the river is still blowing, but it is all given to the merchants who come and go on the river.
