Poems of Gracious Poets

What a good word "love"

-Appreciation of Liu Yong's poem "Lin Yuling"

Among the poets in the Northern Song Dynasty, Liu Yong can be said to be a "lover". This is not only because of his peculiar experience of wandering around brothels and playing music with prostitutes, but also because he left us many excellent works expressing "men's and women's affairs" with his ingenious pen. Lin Yuling can be said to be the best of these masterpieces. In this first word, Liu Yong wrote the affair between men and women quite fully. What is the word "love"? This is our first impression after reading Lin Yuling.

Lin Yuling describes the poet's sentimental feelings when he broke up with his lover. Yesterday, Jiang Yan wrote Beppu, in which there is a famous saying, "People who are ecstatic just don't do it." It can be seen that the difference between friends or lovers is enough to make people feel sad and heartbroken. Only those who are in it can feel the pain and write thoroughly. It is precisely because Liu Yong lived in it and tasted the pain of parting that it is possible to write the feelings of parting in Lin Yuling so vividly.

At the beginning of the word, Liu Yong created a sad emotional tone for the whole word. "Cold cicada" probably realized that his days in the world were running out, so he called it "sadness" and kept pulling away from people's hearts. The sunset is near the top of the pavilion, and it is dark, but it is very sad to break up with my lover at this time. The rainstorm that just passed can be used as an excuse to stay, but this nasty rain "rested first" when people least expected it to stop. Here, "the merciless nature of heaven" plays a very good role compared with "the worldly wisdom".

Of course, drink farewell wine. Although food and wine are delicious, people can't taste the delicious food in the pain of parting. Just as a pair of lovers were reluctant to part, the boatmen on the "Lanzhou" were on their way one after another. Looks like the deadline for the final breakup is up. Here, "the boatman is heartless" and "my sentient beings" also play a good comparative role.

How I want to hold my lover's hand and be with her forever. Looking at each other, I suddenly found that the eyes of both sides were full of tears. There are a thousand words I want to say to my lover, but they are stuck in my throat. The description of a series of expressions and behaviors such as "holding hands", "looking at each other", "tearful", "speechless" and "choking" shows the sense of separation between men and women with very specific images.

When you think of your own road, there are thousands of miles of smoke and waves, and there are heavy "twilight" everywhere. Chutian is so big, who knows where "I" will drift? When can I reunite with my sweetheart? At this time, as the hero of the word, my mentality is to hope that the world will become smaller and smaller, so small that it can only accommodate the two of them. However, Chutian is so "vast". The more "vast" Chutian is, the less likely it is for lovers to get together again. The reality is so ruthless, trying to break up a pair of lovers. Simple words and expressions contain a lot of helplessness and deep affection for lovers.

Affectionate people have been sad for parting since ancient times, not to mention breaking up in this cold and sad autumn, which is really unbearable! Moving out of the "sentimental" people since ancient times shows that Liu Yong is not the only one who is "sentimental". It is the universal humanity of literati. The "Cold Autumn Festival" cast a thick gray shadow on the parting scene. It is difficult for people who are not "deeply in love" to have such sensitive nerve tentacles.

It is said that getting drunk is a good way to get rid of boredom. In Cao Cao's "Short Song Xing", there is a famous sentence "How to solve your worries, only Du Kang". Li Bai wrote the unique feeling that "although the water is still flowing, although it is cut with a knife, it is even more worrying to raise a glass to eliminate sorrow". In the gloom of having to break up with his lover, the poet also thought of anesthetizing himself with alcohol. So in his vision, "Where will I wake up tonight, and Yang Liuan will wake up in the breeze and the waning moon". After "I" woke up, it was probably time for a small wind to blow the waning moon the next day. The deeper a poet is drunk, the more he can show his deep affection for his lover.

I'm afraid it will take a year to break up this time. In this year, no matter how auspicious the "moment" or the beautiful scenery is, it doesn't mean anything to me. I just think it's an empty decoration. Why do you feel this way? Because my old lover's position in my mind is irreplaceable by anything. Neither "a beautiful day" nor "beautiful scenery" can play any role in "me". Only lovers who are very single-minded will show such feelings.

Finally, the poet imagined that even if there were Qian Qian's boundless romantic feelings and all kinds of love stories in the future, he could not find anyone to talk to. "Who should I talk to?" Yes, such amorous feelings can't be told to other women casually. This heartfelt confession, I believe that any fireworks woman will be moved by it, thus entrusting her life to each other.

Liu Yong's ci is widely circulated among the people. Chen Shidao's "Poems on the Back Hill" said: Liu Yong's ci is "sung in the world"; Wu Zeng's "Notes on Gaizhai" said: Liu Yong's ci is "immortal"; Ye Mengde's "Summer Tale" even said: "Where there is a well to drink, you can sing Liu Ci." Why did Liu Yong's ci spread so widely? I think the main reason lies in the word "love": it describes the deep affection and humanity between men and women. Words with "emotion" have vitality and spread widely.

Liu Yong won the fireworks woman's heart with his words and feelings. There was a saying among geisha at that time: "I don't want to be called by the king, I want to be called by Liu Qi;" I don't want thousands of gold, I want to get Liu Qixin; I don't want to see the gods, I want to know the seven sides of the willow. " This shows the position of Liu Qi (Liu Yong) in the eyes of geisha. Maybe it's a reward for "love guru"? In the case that Liu Yong "died of poverty and illness, and his family had no spare money", it was difficult to raise burial expenses, and "prostitutes were buried together". Some people say that prostitutes only know money and will not have true feelings for any man who has been with them. This is obviously not feasible here in Liu Yong. Because "group prostitutes" only really admire Liu Yong, and then they will get together and bury him after his death. People do this, just should be a common saying, called "peony flowers die, ghosts also romantic. "

Whether it is Liu Yong's personality or his words, in a word, it is: what kind of word is love?
