Credibility function of creed

1. Credo is the church's summary of the truth of the Bible, which can make people understand the essence of the Bible at a glance;

2. Credo is suitable for teaching children and congregation, and can recite and sing;

3. Belief is a milestone in church theology and the crystallization of beliefs in past dynasties, which directly affects the theological thinking, homework and life of the church;

4. Credo is a sign that Christianity is different from paganism and heresy;

5. Faith makes non-Christians, or believers of other sects pay attention to it, and then makes them agree with repentance.

6. Credo is an agreement between Christians to make Christians know the basic arteries of Christianity and strengthen their faith;

7. Credo is the touchstone of the church's orthodox beliefs and the criterion for implementing church regulations. If believers and preachers have doubts about their beliefs and life, they can take creed as the standard of interrogation. Credo is the dry city of orthodox faith and life, and opposes heresy and bad behavior.

The Reformed Church only recognizes the supreme authority of the Bible, because only the Bible is the word of God. Faith is a human word, so it cannot enjoy the same authority as the Bible, second only to the Bible, and its authority is in direct proportion to its conformity with the Bible. The beliefs recognized by the Orthodox Church include the Apostle's creed, the nicene creed, the Jiakedun creed and the Athanasium creed. The recognized important creeds are Belgian Credo, the Second Govitti Credo, Dortmund Credo and Westminster Credo. The more influential rational questions and answers are Geneva, Heidelberg, Westminster, Westminster and so on.
