The School of Chinese Language and Literature at Beijing Foreign Studies University and E?tv?s Lorand University held the "International Forum on Chinese Language and Chinese Literature and Culture". The forum was jointly organized by the School of Chinese Language and Literature, the Confucius Institute at E?tv?s E?tv?s-E?tv?s E?tv?s in Hungary, and the Department of Chinese Language and Literature at E?tv?s E?tv?s-E?tv?ss *** Initiated by the same party, the first forum was hosted by E?tv?s Lorand University in Hungary. More than 50 people, including famous European sinologists and scholars from Hungary, France, the United Kingdom, Estonia and other countries, as well as scholars from China, attended the forum.
The teaching units of the School of Chinese Language and Literature of Beijing Foreign Studies University (hereinafter referred to as the "School of Chinese Language") include the Department of Chinese Language and Literature, the Department of Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language, and the Chinese Language Training Center. The opening ceremony was hosted by Professor Hao Qingqing, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Head of the Chinese Department, and Director of the Confucius Institute at E?tv?s E?tv?s E?tv?s. He first introduced the good traditions formed by E?tv?s E?tv?s E?tv?s and Beijing Foreign Studies University in academic and student exchanges, and expressed his gratitude to scholars from various countries. You are welcome to submit papers to the conference and come from afar to participate in academic discussions. Then, Boros Gabor, deputy dean of the Faculty of Arts of E?tv?s E?tv?s, delivered a speech on behalf of the school. Subsequently, Professor Wei Chongxin, Dean of the School of Chinese Language and Literature at Beijing Foreign Studies University, delivered a speech on behalf of our school. He briefly introduced that the initiation and holding of the international forum was the result of years of effective and in-depth exchanges between Beijing Foreign Studies University and E?tv?s Lorand University, and the first forum was held by both parties. With the cooperation of the Chinese Language School, it took more than half a year from planning in early spring, soliciting papers in the hot summer, to officially hosting in golden autumn. Therefore, he used the metaphor of "Spring and Autumn" to express the great significance of this forum and welcomed more experts and scholars. In 2016, he went to Beijing Foreign Studies University to participate in the second "International Forum on Chinese Language and Chinese Literature and Culture". Finally, Li Min, professor at the School of Chinese Language and Literature at Beijing Foreign Studies University and Chinese director of the Confucius Institute at E?tv?s E?tv?s, once again emphasized the importance of this forum to international Chinese education and was full of expectations for the keynote reports of the scholars. At the opening ceremony, Dean Wei Chongxin also presented Professor Hao Qingqing with a letter of appointment as an editorial member of the academic journal "International Chinese Education" of the Chinese School, and presented a gift to the Chinese Department of E?tv?s E?tv?s E?tv?s on behalf of the school.
After the opening ceremony, the forum report and discussion began immediately. This forum consists of sub-forums such as "Linguistics", "Mythology and Religion", "Literature", and "Society and Chinese Teaching". Based on the papers submitted at previous conferences, our school anonymously reviewed and selected 10 teachers including Wei Chongxin, Gao Yuhua, Shi Yuntao, Ma Xiaodong, Zhang Hongbo, Tang Liqun, Jiang Wenyan, He Yiwei, Fang Zhisong, and Bai Liang to attend the forum and deliver keynote reports. These reports show overseas scholars the research achievements of our school in literature, culture, language and international Chinese education from many aspects such as Chinese character culture, textbook comparison, ancient mythology, novels and poetry, film and television culture, Internet hot words, the Silk Road, etc. It received attention and praise from the participants.
The "International Forum on Chinese Language and Chinese Literature and Culture" is held once a year, aiming to strengthen academic exchanges and cooperation between the School of Chinese Studies and overseas universities, enhance the international level of academic exchanges in the School, and expand Beijing Foreign Studies University's International academic influence.
