Fengshan, Jiangxi is the first of the eight scenic spots in Ganzhou, and this mountain still has mysteries and is fascinating.

The peak of Shashi Town, zhanggong district, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province, was originally named Kongtong Mountain, and Su Dongpo listed it as the first of the "Eight Scenes of Ganzhou". According to the records of Tongzhigan County in Qing Dynasty, it is said that Kongtong monks in Jin Dynasty moved here, hence the name. The ancient name Baogaifeng, also known as Longtouding, is one of the four famous mountains in Ganxian (formerly Ganxian). Later, because there was an empty mountain temple on the mountain, it was also called Rengan Mountain and Empty Mountain. The late Qing Dynasty was named after its main peak, Dafeng Mountain. In the early Republic of China, it was renamed Fengshan. It is the watershed between Zhang Er River and Gonger River, and also the boundary mountain between zhanggong district of Ganzhou City and the former Ganxian County. The elevation of the main peak is 10 16.4m, which is the highest peak in zhanggong district, Ganzhou.

The peak is southwest-northeast and stretches for more than 40 kilometers, spanning zhanggong district, Ganxian and Nankang. There is tungsten sand underground. "County Records" contains: "The empty mountain is in the south of the county, and there are many trees, fruits and food in the mountain. All counties are funded here. Although it is an empty mountain, it is a hundred times richer than other mountains. "

Driving from Ganzhou City, passing Shashi Town, along Fengshan Highway, passing Fengshan Tunnel, Lifengshan Forest Farm, Fengshan Management Office, passing Lion Mountain and Xianrenshi, you can reach the top of the mountain directly.

Lion Rock is located on the right side of the highway halfway up the mountain, so it is named because the rock ridge looks like a lion. There are "the first villa in Fengshan", four houses and 80 beds. There is a lion cave in Lion Mountain. The entrance is small, with a diameter of only 2.5 meters and a depth of 3 meters. 1982 A lion was molded in the cave and a pavilion was built at the entrance of the cave, which is now one of the scenic spots in Fengshan tourist area. Tianzidi, on the west side of Lion Rock, is the office building and reception room of Fengshan Management Office, which contains a long stele gallery of famous poets.

Two kilometers south of Lion Mountain, there is a scenic spot called "Immortal Ci-making". This is an independent rock, slightly conical, 2 meters high, 2.5 meters long and 2.5 meters wide. There are irregular patterns on the surface of the rock mass, like ancient hieroglyphics, so it is said that this is the writing created by the gods here, and no one has solved it so far.

On the northeast side of the highway about 2 kilometers from the peak, there is a "immortal stone", which is a natural pile of three rocks about 6 meters high and 1.5 meters wide. The word "immortal stone" is engraved on the front, and the word "stone falling from the sky" is engraved on the back, which adds a sense of rugged boulder to the viewer. Seen from a distance, the three huge stones look like immortals standing on the top of the mountain.

Halfway up the mountain about 2 kilometers northwest of the main peak, there is a path leading to the "copper gongs and drums". Granite with an area of 8 square meters, a height of 4.4 meters and a maximum circumference of 15 meters has attracted many tourists. It is divided into gong stone and drum stone, with gong stone above and drum stone below. If a wooden stick is inserted between two stones, the gong-knocking stone will shake and make a "Mao Mao" sound similar to gong-knocking. Part of the rock exposed by the drum stone is flat and shaped like a drum head. When people walk on it, they will make a "drumming" drum sound. The name "copper gongs and drums" came from this. There is a village called "Tongluo Village" under "Tongluo Drum". According to the investigation by experts from Institute of Geography, Chinese Academy of Sciences, at present, stones with similar shapes and sounds very much like gongs and drums have not been found in China, which can be called "one of the best in China".

The main peak of Fengshan is Baogai Peak, on which the "Jiangxi July 7th" TV relay station was built. The station started construction in the second half of 1980, put into trial broadcast in June 1982 and June 1, and added satellite TV ground receiving equipment in September 1985, with a construction area of 2 175 square meters, and the signal covers Gannan and 18 counties (cities) adjacent to Shaoguan.

Today, the peak mountain is beautiful, not only a provincial forest park, but also a towering TV tower, which has become a landmark building of Ganzhou informatization. This towering tower is the most spectacular of the new eight scenic spots in Ganzhou. In 2006, Fengshan won the national AAAA-level scenic spot. In the same year, 65438+February was approved as a national forest park by the State Forestry Administration.
