Take stock of several traditional festivals in Japan. What have you heard?

Young sacrifice

Hina matsuri) is a festival for Japanese girls, also known as Hiya, Puppet Festival, Shangsi (/), Peach Blossom Festival and Daughter's Day. Young Festival is one of the five major festivals in Japan (five sentences, namely 1 month 7, Shangsi on March 3, Dragon Boat Festival on May 5, Tanabata on July 7 and Chongyang on September 9). It was originally the third day of the third lunar month, but it was changed to the third day of the third solar calendar after the Meiji Restoration.

March 10 is doll's day, which is not far from spring. This is an annual day for young girls to beg for happiness and healthy growth. On this day, every household displays dolls and peach blossoms in traditional court costumes, as well as diamond-shaped rice cakes and dried rice balls. Doll Festival originated from the ancient belief in ritual purification. People believe that human crimes and filth can be washed away in the purification ceremony by the river. Later, people used paper dolls in these ceremonies; After the Edo period (1600- 1868), these dolls were designed to look like toys.

2. Begging Festival

This is a fusion of China legends and ancient Japanese customs. The Cowherd and the Weaver Girl live on the east and west sides of the Milky Way, and can only meet each other on July 7th every year. It is said that Valentine's Day in China originated in Tian Ping, Emperor Shengwu for six years. On this day, people tie colored paper with poems and wishes on it to bamboo poles. The wishes made on this day will come true. Today, Tanabata is celebrated in many places in Japan. The most famous places are Tianmu Palace in Kitano Prefecture, Golden Knife Fireworks Palace in Kagawa Prefecture, Hiratsuka City in Kanagawa Prefecture and Takaoka City in Toyama Prefecture. In addition, the celebration of Tanabata in Sendai [7] is one month after Tanabata in other parts of Japan, that is, August 7, which is closer to the date that should be Tanabata according to the lunar calendar.

3. Fireworks Festival

Step 4: Wash basin

In a year in Japan, when summer approaches (about August 15), there is a national holiday for about a week. At this time, people who leave home will gather in their hometown to reunite, sweep graves and worship their ancestors together. This is the most famous traditional folk festival in Japan-Menglan Basin Festival (basin). Bonihara Festival is a traditional Japanese festival, also known as "Soul Sacrifice", "Lantern Festival" and "Buddhist All Souls Meeting". Originally, it was a day to worship ancestors and pray for blessings, but now it is a festival for family reunion. Because the Menglan Basin Festival is the longest holiday after the Golden Week holiday, many people go home to visit relatives, so the trains and highways to their hometown during this period are very crowded, and we can often see the words "National Campaign" () in newspapers or magazines during this period.
