Du Fu's Translation of Ancient Poems in Seclusion

Gui Yan's translation is as follows:

Spring has come, when can I go home from my hometown? The heartbroken Jiangcheng geese fly north. Spring has come. When can I go home? Who is far away? What saddens me most is that even the geese in Jiangcheng can fly freely to the north.

Du Fu (7 12-770), with beautiful words, is called "Du Gongbu" and "Du Shaoling" in the world. Born in Fugong County, Henan Province (now gongyi city, Henan Province), he was a great realistic poet in the Tang Dynasty. Du Fu is regarded as a "poet saint" by the world, and his poems are called "the history of poetry".

Du Fu and Li Bai are called "Du Li" together. In order to distinguish them from the other two poets Li Shangyin and Du Mu, that is, "Little Du Li", Du Fu and Li Bai are also called "Big Du Li". He is concerned about the country and the people and has a noble personality. About 65,438+0,400 of his poems have been preserved, and his poetic skills are exquisite, and he is highly respected in Chinese classical poetry and has far-reaching influence. He lived in Chengdu from 759 to 766 and was commemorated by Du Fu's Caotang.

"East to Wan Li, how many years?" Pointed out the time and place of residence, and expressed his desire to return to his hometown. After the Anshi Rebellion, in eight years, Du Fu left his hometown with his family and moved from Chang 'an, Luoyang and Qin Zhou to Chengdu, Sichuan. The word "East" in the poem is also called "Spring".

In the early spring of this year, when he was wandering in Langzhou, northern Sichuan, he was ready to go down to Yuzhou gorge by water in order to return to his hometown in Henan. But because his old friend Yanwu came to Chengdu for the second time and invited Du Fu to Chengdu, he gave up the idea of going out of the gorge and moved his family back to live in Chengdu Caotang. The word "Wan Li guest" is full of sadness and deep homesickness after years of running around. At this point, the Anshi rebellion has subsided, so I should go home.

Not long ago, he wrote "the first quick poem in life" (Pu Yin Dragon Language) and "The banks of the Yellow River were recovered by the imperial army", and said emotionally: "On that green spring day, I sang loudly, drank all the wine and set off for home. Come back from this mountain, pass another mountain, go up from the south and then go north-to my own town! "Now that I have come to Chengdu, when will my long-cherished wish of returning to my hometown come true? A problem shows the poet's desire to return to his hometown, but it is not his urgency.
