1997, Wanxian Yangtze River Highway Bridge, a rigid skeleton reinforced concrete arch bridge with a length of 856 meters and a main span of 420 meters, was born in Wanzhou with a long history. Crossing the rolling Yangtze River and descending to Xiongguan of the Three Gorges, the goddess in the distance is hazy and charming, forming a magnificent landscape in which the sky, water, mountains, bridges and cities complement each other. This bridge broke the record of the largest span reinforced concrete arch bridge (390 meters) built in the world at that time, and became the largest bridge of its kind in the world, winning the first prize of national scientific and technological progress and the second Zhan Tianyou Civil Engineering Award in China; A group of backbones engaged in bridge design, construction and scientific research were commended.
