Poetry of Ye Shengtao

I haven’t seen the waterfall yet,

I heard the sound of the waterfall first,

It seemed like overlapping waves surging onto the beach,

It also sounded like Gusts of wind blew through the pine forest.

The mountain road suddenly turned,

Ah! I saw the whole body of the waterfall!

Such a scene is indescribable.

Thousands of feet of green mountains are set against a streak of silver.

Standing at the foot of the waterfall and looking up,

How great, a screen of pearls!

Every now and then a gust of wind comes,

Blowing it like smoke, fog, and dust.
