Reflections on the extracurricular reading teaching of Chinese in primary schools

Reflections on the extracurricular reading teaching of Chinese in primary schools

Lead: It is not enough for Chinese teaching in primary schools to rely only on the contents of textbooks, and it needs to be expanded in some cases. The following is my collection of thoughts on extracurricular reading teaching in primary school Chinese for your reference only.

Chapter one: Reflection on the extracurricular reading teaching of Chinese in primary schools. I have always believed that reading is the fundamental way to improve students' Chinese literacy. I have seen such a picture: a primary school student is dejected and despondent, holding a 50-point test paper in his hand. Then he walked into the romance of the Three Kingdoms. When he came out of the book, he was holding a test paper with a score of 100 in his hand, with his head held high and his face full of confidence. The title of this painting is "changed my life".

I don't think this is an exaggeration at all. Reading broadens people's horizons, improves people's thinking quality and greatly promotes intellectual development. It can be said that reading is very important not only to improve the quality of Chinese, but also to the development of a person's life. Suhomlinski said:? Don't make up lessons, don't rely on endless pulling, but rely on reading, reading and reading again. The problem is not only that reading can save some students from failing exams, but also that reading can develop students' intelligence. ? (Quoted from Article 19 of the Advice to Teachers)

Based on the above understanding, in my own teaching, I consciously strengthen reading and expand students' reading range. I mainly did the following things:

1. Mobilize every student to buy some suitable books, publicize and encourage, and a little inducement has finally been achieved. Teach students how to read after ordering books and newspapers. For example, you can read aloud (good articles and poems can be read aloud), read, extract, cut and paste (according to relevant knowledge points), do (related exercises), and collect them as review materials.

2. Take out a class every week to let students read freely. In this reading class, I try my best to be open and free without any restrictions on students. No matter how tight the class hours are, try to ensure one class per week to form continuity, gradually develop students' reading habits and cultivate students' reading interest.

3. Ask students to write a reading note or reading excerpt every week. The main purpose of doing this is to gradually cultivate students' ability to perceive and think about literary works.

I think my starting point is good and should conform to the law of Chinese learning, but the actual situation and effect are not optimistic:

1. In the reading class, there are actually students reading, and the books are changing. This is beyond my expectation. Don't they like reading and ask for reading classes? Isn't reading a free, relaxed and comfortable thing, but a good mental relaxation and enjoyment? How is it possible not to enter the state?

There was silence in the reading class. I also want to take this opportunity to read some of my own books. Occasionally, I looked up and found that some students were working hard, and I was very happy. Well, reading has entered a state and I feel a lot. I can't stop spitting. Go down and see what books they are reading. ? Startled, they are doing their homework selflessly!

Judging from the reading notes handed in, two-thirds of the students stayed on long excerpts. I even suspect that many students forget what they copied just to cope with the teacher. What's more, they don't even know what they copied. The essence of this phenomenon is that there are still many students who don't realize the importance of reading, still can't read, still can't think and have no feelings. They are superficial in thought and lacking in feelings.

Why is this happening? Reflection is as follows:

1、? Real reading refers to close contact with books that have nothing to do with exams. ? Xue Ruiping. The real reading state should be carried out with free mind, relaxed mind and relaxed environment. Nowadays, students are under too much pressure to study, losing their relaxed time and mood for reading and the objective conditions for appreciating, appreciating and appreciating literary works.

2. Students are too utilitarian in reading. This utilitarian reading is forced by the exam, which is out of touch with aesthetics and contrary to it. This kind of reading, which lacks aesthetic feeling and emotional pleasure experience, makes students lose the motivation to read, and even makes reading a burden, thus failing to achieve the effect that reading can achieve in the true sense. Reading in this utilitarian state of mind, the information it receives only passes through its mind once, but it fails to be internalized into its own things. The purpose of students' abstraction and arrangement in reading is only to accumulate good sentences and paragraphs so as to be useful in exams, and it cannot fundamentally solve the problem of improving Chinese literacy. The real reading accumulation should be a kind of accumulation and success, and its function is reflected in writing, rather than sticking mechanical quotations like students now.

3. Students' excessive pursuit of freedom and relaxation in reading has led to the situation of herding sheep to read. In this kind of herding reading teaching, teachers lack specific guidance and fail to fully stimulate students' reading interest. One of the root causes of these problems is that as a teacher, his reading range is not wide enough, his reading literacy is not high, he can't guide students' reading from the perspective of strategy, and he can't form the interaction between teachers and students, so he can't stimulate students' reading interest.

After reflection, we should try our best to do the following:

1. As a teacher, we should pay close attention to reading, broaden the scope of reading and improve reading literacy, so as to stand higher, better guide students to read with high taste and better stimulate and mobilize students' interest in reading. Of course, as a teacher, due to the heavy work pressure and long hours, I am also losing my relaxed time and mood for free reading, and this situation is getting more and more serious. It is unlikely to change in the near future, so I have to make time for myself.

2. The form of reading class can be rich. Don't just let students read in class. You can read the good articles you have read to students in class, and you can also let students read the good articles you have read, talk about their reading feelings, and introduce and communicate.

3. Build a reading class. Encourage every student to have his own library and communicate irregularly in the class bookcase. Everyone has a book to read? The situation,? Everyone loves reading? Atmosphere.

Part II: Reflections on the extracurricular reading teaching of Chinese in primary schools. 20XX participated in two extracurricular reading teaching competitions at district level and municipal level from September to 20 15438+0. This mentality focuses on participation and learning from peers. Learning while teaching, finally got a little harvest. But this achievement is not the result of my own participation in the competition, but I finally have a superficial understanding of extracurricular reading teaching through participating in the competition.

"New Curriculum Standard" stipulates: Students? Should the total amount of extracurricular reading in nine years be more than 4 million words? Among them, the total amount of extracurricular reading in primary schools should be no less than 6.5438+0.45 million words. It can be seen how important it is for primary school students to read after class!

Before taking part in this extracurricular reading contest,

I have always thought that extracurricular reading means reading extracurricular books, talking about experiences and writing some thoughts after reading, and at most, communicating and questioning. My understanding of extracurricular reading, as the saying goes, only knows hard work, but I don't know how to look up at the sky. I don't know what the purpose of extracurricular reading is and what to read. What role can teachers play in extracurricular reading?

Through this period of theoretical study and classroom practice, I finally understand a few points:

1. What is the purpose of extracurricular reading?

Extracurricular reading is an extension and supplement of classroom teaching, which plays an important role in broadening students' horizons, enriching knowledge, cultivating and improving their reading and writing ability, and optimizing Chinese teaching as a whole. (Excerpted from Liu Ning's lecture at Confucius Temple Primary School)

Combined with our school? Read books and be a man? According to the actual situation of our grade and class, I think the purpose of extracurricular reading is not only the above benefits, but more importantly, it is to learn the truth of being a man from books, standardize one's behavior and improve students' comprehensive quality.

Second, what to watch after class?

1, guide students to choose healthy and beneficial extracurricular reading materials.

Pupils are young, have little knowledge and experience, and have poor discrimination and immunity. Not all extracurricular reading materials are suitable for them to read. Therefore, it is extremely important for teachers to help guide students to choose reading materials. First of all, the content should be healthy, which is conducive to their good ideological and moral education; Secondly, the form should be novel, vivid and full of the flavor of the times, in line with the age and psychological characteristics of students; In addition, the depth should be moderate so that they can accept it. There are many advantages in the selection and recommendation of extracurricular reading materials, but it is not necessarily beneficial to open books. Belinsky put it well:? It is better not to read a book that is not suitable for you. We must learn such a skill and choose the most valuable and suitable reading materials. ? There are many publications now, so it is very important to guide students to choose extracurricular reading correctly.

2. What books are included:

Third, how to read after class?

In the usual teaching, I found that many students like reading very much, but they are unrestrained. They can't choose books reasonably regardless of time and place. Therefore, teachers should guide students to read after class in a planned and reasonable way.

(1) extends from class to class. The ancients said:? Everything in the world is learned, and human cultivation is an article? . It is true that there are languages everywhere in society, and everyone has been learning and using them. In Chinese teaching, guide students to feel the beauty of China's language and let them contact with various articles. Under the guidance of teachers, writing takes them through time and space, enjoying various customs and roaming the art palace.

In the usual arrangement of extracurricular reading teaching, we should combine some special texts, special festivals, special events and special anniversaries. And carry out a series of activities in a planned way. For example, World AIDS Day is on June 65438+February 1, and we can introduce relevant knowledge and raise awareness of prevention in combination with the reading of Little Soldier. For example, on the anniversary of the Nanjing Massacre, children can read the poem Crazy Snow to understand the history of our national humiliation, and always remind students to study hard and make great efforts for the nation; Ask students to obtain relevant information through various channels, and cooperate with the class or make various forms of processing and expression according to the information. Help students get through information channels and store a large number of information units, so that students can initially have the information processing ability of combining concentration and diffusion.

(2) consider genre. Children's books such as children's songs and nursery rhymes are arranged in the lower grades.

(3) consider from the time.

Usually, the class time is tight, and articles, books and newspapers with smaller space are arranged. Each class can use school-based reading time to carry out comprehensive reading classes; Use the first 5 minutes of Chinese class to read an idiom story or a historical or fable story. You can also use the morning meeting to read a short article in combination with the safety, etiquette and psychological education in our school, which is not only ideological education, but also language edification.

Fourthly, how to combine extracurricular reading with in-class reading?

The basic way of Chinese learning is accumulation and training. As the saying goes:? Did you gain rights in class and benefit from extracurricular activities? That's the truth. Extracurricular reading can not only make students increase their knowledge, cultivate their virtues and improve their ability, but also promote their intellectual development.

Through this stage of competition, I realized that there are many ways to read after class, including reading recommendation before class, reading on a series of topics around the same theme, exchange and appreciation after reading, and reading method instruction class. In preparation for this competition, I tried the theme reading class, participated in the reading exchange meeting about Jin Bo's works last semester, and finally chose the reading recommendation class "China Festival". I chose this book because of its China elements and strong China flavor. As a new generation of Chinese children, I may not know much about these festivals, but I only know a little about their origins, history and stories. In the process of preparing lessons, I thought it over and revised it seven or eight times. When I finalized the book, I took the Lantern Festival and the Double Ninth Festival as teaching points, combined with poems, pictures and small knowledge introduction, to stimulate children's reading enthusiasm, cultivate their interest, and finally attract children to understand the festival culture in China, so as to be proud of being from China. In the teaching process, I found that because of underestimating the students, the class was relatively deserted at the beginning, and I was eager to complete the teaching plan, so I couldn't adjust it at will. As a result, after one class, the students didn't learn much, and the teacher ended up hastily, which failed to reflect the role of reading recommendation.

All these are conducive to the improvement of students' writing ability. ? The process of learning is a process of gradual accumulation. ? Therefore, we create all conditions to help students read more books, stimulate their interest in reading, accumulate as many demonstrative language materials as possible, accumulate as much language experience as possible, and constantly enrich students' English? Psychological dictionary? Read more, read better, read better.

In this activity, I deepened my understanding of extracurricular reading class. Our teacher's role is to ignite and call children, which is a kind of assistance. What teachers have to do is to return to childlike innocence. In the future, there are still many things for students to do in extracurricular reading, so that extracurricular reading can become students' yearning and eager expectation, and lead students to sail in the sea of books!
