A Brief Introduction to China's Classic Reading Materials

This book selects 287 ancient poems (at that time) and is divided into four parts for easy reading. Series A is the writings of pre-Qin philosophers, series B is the poems of past dynasties, series C is the lyrics and songs, and series D is the prose of past dynasties. The selected poems include *** 150 ancient poems recommended by the Chinese syllabus for full-time primary and junior high schools in nine-year compulsory education, and some ancient poems recommended by the Chinese syllabus for ordinary senior high schools. In order to help reading, some words that are difficult to read or easy to mispronounce are phonetic, and some numbers and words are briefly annotated.

This book is also accompanied by an index of famous or key sentences. If you only remember one or two famous or key sentences in a poem, you can find the author, source and full text according to the pinyin at the beginning. With this index, the efficiency of recitation can be improved.

Reciting is hard work, but there are also good prescriptions to follow. For example, it can be recited individually, collectively, by author, by topic and by contest, especially by parents and children. Inside and outside the campus, between parents and children, the sound of books is loud and enjoyable. What an honor!
