Its complete sentence is a couplet written by Zhang Peng for the ancestral hall of Su surname: "A father and son say three words, and four people write articles through the ages." The couplet called "Su San" both an essayist and a poet. The word "father and son" refers to Su Shi's Meishan Susan Temple, namely Su Xun, Su Shi and Su Zhe (Su Shi is the brother).
