Umayyad dynasty (Arabic:? ), translated from Chinese into Umayyad Dynasty and Olgilvy Dynasty, was the first hereditary dynasty of the Arab Islamic Empire. After the first four caliphs of Islam came to power, they were founded by former Syrian Governor Muawiyah (later caliph Muawiyah I). The rule began at 66 1 and ended in 750. This dynasty is one of the strongest dynasties in Muslim history.
