He's in the valley of the shadow of death

Mary Magdalene was saved from despair by Jesus, but she witnessed her benefactor being executed. She doesn't know what the future will be like without the light of life. She can only wander helplessly where hopes are dashed. But I did not expect to be the first person to witness the resurrection of Jesus.

Mary Magdalene chose to endure darkness in despair. When the soldiers taunted and insulted her benefactor, she clenched her skirt and then let it go. She knew very well that the cruelty of the Roman Empire could not prevent the benefactor from being punished. A deep sense of powerlessness haunts me. The only thing she can do is to watch Jesus' life go downhill.

To tell the truth, I have too little experience and am ignorant, and I can't understand what despair feels like. Every time I see the cruelty of war and the distortion of human nature, I feel a deep sense of powerlessness, because the evil of human nature is enough to peel and devour any living person with conscience. And even if you have experienced it, you can't alleviate the pain of others.

Mary has been in the cemetery since the death of Jesus. She has been up all night for several days and looks haggard. No one knows what they are waiting for. Maybe they are just desperate poor people who give up on themselves. Unexpectedly, I was stopped by a kind voice that day.

I know that many of us, like me, are people without faith. Once we encounter any small storm, without God's help, we will give up on ourselves, even shake our faith and doubt God. Yue Se was betrayed by all his brothers, sold into slavery and later sent to prison. Every time he was desperate, he strengthened his faith and got help from the Lord. The stories of many characters in the Bible seem to tell us one thing: "Don't be afraid, just believe".

-"Not only that, we are also happy in suffering, because we know that suffering makes life patient, patience produces character, and character produces hope. This hope will not fail, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit given to us. -Romans 5:3-5 Contemporary Translation "
