Lu Bing (1924—2006) lived in his grandfather's house as a child and was influenced by rich traditional culture and folk literature. 1945 was admitted to Zhejiang university, 1955 was transferred to Shanghai Children's Publishing House, and 1987 won the first Taofen Publishing Award.

He began to write for children's newspapers as early as in college. After editing China Children's Times in 1947, he soon published a collection of fairy tales "The Story of the Bridge" and a collection of essays "The Mud Child". After that, he published various poems, fairy tales, fables and theories. In his later years, he mainly wrote children's songs, fairy tales and children's poems for children.
