Silkworms in spring will weave until they die. What do you mean when a candle turns into ashes and tears?

The poem "Spring silkworms can still weave until they die, and every night, the candle tears are exhausted" means that spring silkworms can only weave into silk when they die, and they can only dry their tears when the candle burns out.

This poem is a poem in Untitled Time, written long before I met her, but even longer after we broke up. It is the work of Li Shangyin, a poet in the Tang Dynasty. The following is the full text, translation, source, creative background, use environment and author's brief introduction:

Full text:

It was a long time ago that I met her, but since we separated, the time has become longer, the east wind is blowing and a hundred flowers are blooming.

Silkworms in spring will weave until they die, and candles will drain the wick every night.

In the morning, she saw her hair cloud changing in the mirror, but she bravely faced the cold of the moonlight with her evening song.

There are not many roads to Pengshan. Oh, Bluebird, listen! -Give me what she said! .

Translation:

It's hard to meet each other late. The east wind is powerless to wither the flowers.

Spring silkworms can only be woven into silk when they die, and tears can only be dried when candles are burned out.

Looking in the mirror in the morning only worries that you can't see the autumn clouds, and singing poetry at night will make you feel the moonlight cold.

I don't have much way to leave Pengshan, and Jade Bird helps me check the news diligently.
