Emei Mountain is in the autumn of the first half of the month, and it falls into the Pingqiang River.
é méi shān yuè bàn lún qiū ，yǐng rù píng qiāng jiāng shuǐ liú 。
At night, Qingxi flows to the Three Gorges, but I miss you and I don't see Yuzhou.
yè fā qīng xī xiàng sān xiá ，sī jun1 bú jiàn xià yú zhōu 。
The Moon Song of Emei Mountain, written by Li Bai, is a seven-character poem, which describes the poet's boat going down the river from Qingxi Post on a clear autumn night. It expresses the poet's sudden departure from his native land and his reluctance to part with his old country and friends.
This is a poem that young Li Bai attached to his hometown landscape when he first left Sichuan. The poet walked by water by boat. On the boat, he saw the semi-circular autumn moon spit out from the tip of Mount Emei. The shadow of the mountain and the moon was reflected in the Pingqiang River, and the moon always flowed with the river. At night, the ship set out from Qingxi Post to sail for the Three Gorges. After the ship turned to Yuzhou, the moon was hidden from view by high mountains. This poem uses five place names, and shows a map of a thousand miles of Shu River through mountains, moons and rivers.
