The main idea of Deng Yueyang Tower's poems

Climbing Yueyang Tower

I heard that Dongting Lake is magnificent before, but today's wish has finally reached Yueyang Tower.

The vast lake tore Wu Chu apart, as if the sun, moon and stars were floating in the water.

There is no news from my friends or relatives. I am old and sick, drifting in a boat.

The battle of the north gate began again, and I cried through the railing.

Translation:

Dongting Lake, which has heard so much about it for a long time, finally arrived at Yueyang Tower today.

The vast and spectacular Great Lakes divide Wu Chu into two southeast regions, where the sun, moon, stars and the earth float day and night.

No news from relatives or friends. I am old and sick, and I am wandering alone.

Overall evaluation:

The northern border war broke out again, and I leaned against the window and burst into tears.

This poem describes what the poet saw and felt when he went upstairs. The poet linked his personal fate with the national worries, which set off his feelings about the lonely life experience and the magnificent natural scenery. His artistic conception is grand and tragic, and he is a masterpiece of climbing Yueyang Tower.

The first couplet is happy to be able to fulfill my old wish by going upstairs. "Yesterday's news" and "Today's news" form a flowing pair. "Yesterday's news" refers to the poet's youth, when Kaiyuan was in its heyday, and everywhere was crowing. I have heard of the name of Dongting, but unfortunately I have not been able to visit it. Nowadays, the mountains and rivers of the motherland are broken, and the poet is in his twilight years, but he is lucky enough to climb the building. How can he not have mixed feelings?

Zhuan Xu praised Dongting Lake for its magnificent scenery. "There is the Kingdom of Wu in the east and the State of Chu in the south, and we can see the endless floating of heaven and earth." The vast Dongting Lake opens the border of Wu Chu, and the sun, moon and stars seem to float in the lake. Only the word 10 vividly depicts the huge image of Dongting Lake with endless water potential. Reminiscent of Cao Cao's famous sentence: "The trip to the sun and the moon, if it is out of its territory; Xinghan is brilliant, if it is unexpected. " The grandeur is the same, but the mood is different.

I haven't heard from my relatives or friends and live in the same boat. (Depressed sigh) It's not the joy of landing, but the feeling of being helpless and wandering around the world. His political career was bumpy, but he never gave up his ambition of "loyalty to the monarch and valuing vulgarity". It never occurred to me that I would accomplish nothing in the end. All the ambitions of the past were in vain. ...

The tail couplet looks north from the railing, worrying about the country and the people. The author's broad mind sets off the magnificent atmosphere of nature. The poet went upstairs to see the scenery in a miserable situation, thinking about national affairs and crying for it.
