Lighting (Prose) 2006-12-20 09:54 A few days ago, a friend of mine called me to tell me that the decoration plan I designed for his home had been well received by many guests, especially The lighting design makes everyone’s eyes brighten. He said that he and his family also like the lighting design, especially the lighting design in the foyer which is the most interesting. My friend is a successful businessman, and his higher education experience makes him different from ordinary businessmen in many ways. He also pursues material comfort, but he prefers some sentimental things. He said that the foyer I designed for him was simple and full of interest. The soft lighting made him feel the warmth and tranquility of home the first moment he came home, making him melt away after a tiring day. In a home atmosphere. In fact, from the beginning when I took over his home decoration design task, I aimed to make his new home have the meaning of harbor. I wanted to create an unassuming but highly symbolic entrance hall with warm lighting, so that after working hard outside for a day, he could put his tired mind into a warm home. I hope that through the lighting, he can instantly forget about the shopping mall. In his struggle, let the lights of his home give him spiritual support. Looking at it now, my design has achieved its purpose. His understanding is the greatest affirmation of my design. In fact, I have always been partial to "lighting". To better reflect it in my design is just to complete a work. However, lighting is not just a design element to me. I grew up in the mountains in the north. Fortunately, when I was born, every household in our small forest town had access to electricity. This was compared to most areas in the country back then. It's advanced. The winter in the north is extremely short. Whenever I come home from school in the winter afternoon, the first thing I can see when I run home is my mother busy under the light of the kitchen. The orange light shines in the steaming heat. The warmth of home drifts away. In the warm light, more than ten years of childhood and youth slipped away quietly. Until I was sixteen, I never left the town. I didn’t know that there were many wonderful things in the outside world. In the winter when I was sixteen years old, I walked into a city for the first time. Because I got off the bus at night, I will never forget the lights at that time for many years. It was the first time I saw people shopping at night. Not to mention the bright little kiosks, just looking at the dim light emitting from the moving carts is enough to warm the hearts of travelers. When I left home for the first time, the warm light diluted my homesickness. That light is also my first impression of the city, because in the small town where I have lived for more than ten years, apart from the lights at home, classrooms, theaters and other places, I have never seen the scene of hanging lights to buy goods, let alone Not to mention the city’s street lights. The lights lit up the night sky of the city, which was also my first understanding of the city. I remember there was a popular Soviet song in the 1980s called "Lights". The song sang: "A young girl sent the soldiers off to fight, and they said goodbye in front of the steps in the dark night. Through the light mist, the young man saw that there were still lights shining in front of the girl's window. The front line was glorious. The young man was greeted by a big family, and there were comrades and friends everywhere, but he could never forget the familiar streets, where there were lovely girls and dear lights, and precious letters from his beloved girl in the distance. Love will never fade away, and when he wins, he will get everything he expected, and the ever-bright golden light. When he sees the girl's letter, he thinks of the girl's flowers, and fights against the hateful invaders more bravely, for the sake of the Soviet motherland and dear ones. "Lights." I have always liked this song very much. Not to mention the rich Russian style, the symbol of love "lights" sung in the song already evokes warm associations. The first time I heard this song was on a snowy day. At the end of the English class that afternoon, the English teacher randomly played this song by Su Xiaoming. On the way home from school in the afternoon, it was already dark. On the way with the falling snowflakes, I saw that the windows of many houses were lit with warm orange lights. "Light", which I had heard only once, suddenly rang in my ears... Once I was chatting with some friends and the topic of happiness came up. Some say they would be happy if they could buy an imported car, some say they would be happy if their position could be promoted to a higher level, and some say happiness is having enough food and clothing. I didn't express my views on happiness because I was afraid that they would laugh at me for being too "acid".
Think about it, if you have more material and status, but do not have a happy and warm home, can such happiness not be discounted? Cherish your "light" for the sake of your family, relatives and friends! Guard your "light", because your "light" is your greatest happiness!
