What is the right choice in Sophie's Choice?
This is really a good movie. Halfway through, I couldn't help sending a text message to Xian. In the first half, I saw ideals, and ideals are all beautiful. Nathan and Sophie danced wildly to the music in the room in exaggerated clothes; Three people make a hullabaloo about in the amusement park; Nathan and Sophie snuggled up in bed and read Emily Dickens' poems. It is raining outside. Nathan conducted the grand music passionately in front of the mirror; In the middle of the night, Nathan took the two men to the bridge, took out glasses and champagne from his bag, stood on a high place and said loudly, This bridge, so many American writers stand on it and ponder over words that can express American thoughts. Looking at this land, Whitman from the East dreamed of the future of his country and wrote it down. We welcome Stinger into this "Pantheon" full of outstanding predecessors. Their words are well known to all of us and will be immortal. I am very satisfied with them. The pace of life is so light, as if you can soar with a pair of wings. But Nathan said, Sophie, why don't you understand? We will die. Slowly, I understood. Happiness is not the whole of life. In the second half, I saw the past, and the layers of truth were cruel. Sophie's childhood was not as happy as she expressed herself. Life in the concentration camp, no matter how Nathan begged her, could not be told. But in the end, she told Stinger bit by bit. She is a timid person. Faced with oppression, she compromised in order to be saved. She was forced to do the most difficult experience for anyone. She has two children, but she is asked to choose to keep one. When she finally put down her little girl, the girl's sad and sharp cry was unforgettable for a long time, and finally she lost it all. Even though she knew that the child's death was inevitable, Sophie could not forgive herself for giving up her little daughter in her life. She released her hand and sent the child to hell.
