The whole poem uses a lot of metaphors and analogies to express the author's desire for free space and free stretching through self-analysis.
Xi Murong started with himself on the train, which led to the unique wood he saw. Among them, the train is a symbol of the undisturbed space in the author's heart. I like being on the train, but actually I like being alone.
In the first few sentences of the poem, the author described such a space of his own with a small amount of pen and ink, so as to impress the readers. Then through the comparison between group trees and single trees, write the comparison between society and ideal. At this point, the concept of "space" has been successfully transformed into the concept of "concept". From comfortable space to yearning for the essence of freedom.
This paper uses a euphemism to grow a sentence, which is about society. Not only that, it paved the way. Why do you want to grow euphemistically? This is to get sunshine. Then at a turning point, jump on that single tree and grow freely like an umbrella. This is the most important thing, and you can still get sunshine.
Through this description, the author expresses his deepest desire, and pure freedom is not enough. Not only comfort, but also a comfortable life. Therefore, the author's freedom is an unrestrained lifestyle. This is undoubtedly impossible in reality, so the author turned the pen and ordered more trees.
Through this detour, the author leads to the truth of being a man, that is, to be free and compromise first; If you want to be comfortable, you must first learn to be independent in society. This independence is not unique, but when you have to be attached to the "group tree", be a separate tree in your heart.

Single wood
Xi Murong
I like to take the train, I like to go south or north slowly one stop at a time, and I like me during the journey.
Just because, on the journey,
I don't belong to the beginning or the end, anywhere or anyone,
At this moment, I just need to belong to myself.
All obligations, responsibilities,
Everything that should be argued or compromised,
All the ties in the world are separated at both ends of the railway track.
And I, in the carriage, lack nothing.
At that moment, the only thing I have to do, and the only thing I can do,
Just sit quietly by the window and watch the exchange of scenery outside the window.
The scenery outside the window is constantly changing, and mountains and valleys stretch over.
I see that in those forests, every tree grows thin and long.
In order to win the sunshine, they grow by all euphemistic methods.
Walking through a large paddy field, I also saw a lonely tree in the middle of the field.
Because of loneliness, I can freely spread my branches and grow like a big, thick and round umbrella.
In real life, I know I should learn to be tolerant and patient.
Like those trees in the jungle.
However, on the leaf of the mind, please let me, let me grow on a sunny tree.
I also know that before this, I must first learn to be independent. In my deepest heart, I must learn not to seek attachment from anyone.
