"Climbing the Stork Tower" is adapted from "Climbing the Stork Tower" by Wang Zhihuan [Tang Dynasty] ", included in "New School Songs", was supervised and composed by Gu Jianfen, and arranged by Zhang Hongguang. Excellent ancient poems were set into musical notes, making it easy for children to learn knowledge and develop a sense of music through Youyou's singing.

Gu Jianfen entered Northeast Music College (now Shenyang Conservatory of Music) in 1952, majoring in composition, and studied under Huo Cunhui, Ji Ming and others. After graduating in 1955, he was assigned to the Yangtze Song and Dance Troupe (now the China Song and Dance Troupe), mainly engaged in dance music creation.
