Hawaiian poetry

The representative of Wei School is Wang Kaiyun.

Wang Kaiyun's poetics is a poetic system unaffected by the times. Throughout his life, he worked hard to pursue the artistic ideal of appealing to both refined and popular tastes. His poems praised the style of Han, Wei and Six Dynasties, and formed the characteristics of taking the ancient as the classics and the literary sentiment as the latitude. His life has gone through five periods: salt, harmony, light, propaganda and the Republic of China. His contacts and friendships are very extensive, and his works are related to both Jianghu personnel and beautiful scenery.

As a result, the poetry school of Han, Wei and Six Dynasties (also known as Huxiang poetry school) represented by him also shined brilliantly in this period. There are nearly two thousand poems in the world, all of which are good at this, among which five ancient poems are the most, and countless literati pursue his poems. Later generations praised his poems as "the essence of the Han, Wei and Six Dynasties", but he also lacked inheritance because he was too persistent in the poetic style of the Six Dynasties.

1. Poetry Revolution, that is, the poetry improvement movement before and after the Reform Movement of 1898. From 65438 to 0899, Liang Qichao formally put forward the slogan of "Poetry Revolution" in "Travels in Hawaii", arguing that to save the declining fate of China's poetry, it is necessary to create a new realm for poetry.

2. The revolution in the field of poetry has impacted the archaic and formalistic tendencies that have ruled the field for a long time, requiring writers to reflect on the new era and new ideas. Some new poetic languages tend to be popular and not bound by the old style, which all played a role in liberating the expressive force of poetry at that time. Liang Qichao and others emphasized keeping the old style, but also bound their hands and feet, making it just new wine in old bottles. Although some progress has been made in the reform of China's classical poetry, little progress has been made.
