Why should poetry emphasize rhyme?

The reason why the poem rhymes is similar to the current lyrics, but it is much more troublesome than the lyrics. After all, brevity and catchiness are the theme of this poem.

The ancients did not recite and test poems as we do now. When the ancients wrote poems, they mostly expressed their feelings. These poems will be compiled into songs and spread widely. If you don't write, you will be shelved, and there will be no meaning of writing.

The reason why Tang poetry, Song ci and Yuanqu are mentioned in the same breath is that they have the same function. Let's not talk about Tang poetry and Song poetry. Everyone knows that Yuanqu is used to sing, so it can be inferred that Tang poetry and Song poetry can also be sung. Only according to the traditions and ways of China ancient culture, it will probably be accompanied by some lyrical melodies, which will be more beautiful.

Moreover, we can find evidence of it from another aspect, that is, most poets are romantic, and most of them like to go to romantic places to find inspiration. Why are you doing this? There are skilled musicians and violinists in romantic places. As long as these people give a rhythm, the poet can express his inner feelings.

From this perspective, it is also very necessary to rhyme poetry. Another reason is that poetry has an inherent format. Just as many of us like to imitate ancient poems now, the ancients will imitate poets older than them, so there are later five-character quatrains, seven-character quatrains and words with epigrams, all of which have fixed writing formats.

The ancients paid attention to rhyme, not only in poetry but also in couplets. This is also a very bright spot of our China culture.
