Little Bees
Whenever I think of this song "Bee" by the Tang Dynasty poet Luo Yin, I will think of those cute little bees on my jujube tree.
It’s another year when the jujube trees are in bloom. Among the green leaves, white jujube flowers the size of millet grains are densely blooming. A fresh and elegant fragrance fills the entire courtyard. . "Buzz buzz..." In the middle of the leafy jujube tree, countless little bees were busy. They vibrated their transparent little wings and flew around among the jujube trees, their slender "powder-carrying feet" covered with yellow pollen.
There are several honeycombs as big as sunflower heads on this tall jujube tree. This is the home of little bees. The industrious little bees carry pollen and shuttle back and forth among the flowers and honeycombs. They are busy from the rising sun to the setting sun. This scene becomes a special landscape.
The most interesting thing is that there are several "burly" bees at the door of the honeycomb, dressed in black clothes, guarding their home energetically. These are probably the so-called worker bees. Occasionally, you can see a few bees passing by the hive, but they are chased wildly by the worker bees. Haha, maybe they have entered the territory by mistake.
As the saying goes: "The jujube tree blooms and does not fall at all." It can be seen that the jujube tree blooms late enough, but unfortunately the flowering period of the jujube tree is not long. The ground is already covered with white flowers. No wonder these bees get up early and go to bed late to collect honey. Looking up at those hard-working little bees and looking down at the white jujube flowers, I can't help but stand in awe of the hard-working little bees.
“After collecting honey from hundreds of flowers, who works hard for whom?” Yes, these bees do not care about the bitterness and sweetness of making honey, but just enjoy the “infinite scenery” of collecting flowers. ".
Bees
I used to have no good impression of bees. I always thought bees were flying ants that bite people, because whenever someone walks under its nest, it will take advantage of them. Unprepared, it suddenly flies down from above and stings you for a day, but you can do nothing about it. But something happened later that made me change my view on bees.
There is a hive under the roof of my house. The bees in it are all "immigrants". They flew from nowhere and have settled here ever since. This hive is not big, and there are not many family members in it, only about 20. One morning, I wanted to visit these neighbors, so I went under the honeycomb, but there was no movement for a long time. I thought maybe they had all gone out. I waited for a while, and a few bees flew back. They entered the nest and then came out again. Are they doing something? I followed them quietly and ended up in the rapeseed field. It turns out that bees are here to collect pollen and make nectar! They work from dawn to dusk every day, they are really hardworking.
The next morning, I came to visit them again and found that the honeycomb had fallen down. I thought, the wind was so strong last night that a piece of glass upstairs fell off. How could the honeycomb not fall off? Now the bees were flapping their wings and flying around the fallen honeycomb. I was surprised that the fallen honeycomb was useless, so why were the bees still flying around it? After the bees slowly disappeared, I touched the honeycomb with a branch. Several bees flew out of the honeycomb, giving me a false alarm. I touched the honeycomb a few more times with a branch, and honey flowed out of it. Suddenly, I saw some white rice-sized things, which turned out to be bee eggs and larvae. I suddenly realized that there were two reasons why the bees were circling the honeycomb just now: first, because there was honey in it that they had exchanged for their labor, and they couldn’t bear to throw it away; second, because there were their eggs and larvae in it, which they didn’t have. Feeling sad about protecting your children.
After a few days, I saw the bees gathering together again and rebuilding their nests. This afternoon, I saw that a small part of the honeycomb had been built. After a few days, I saw that the honeycomb had been completely built. The wind blew very hard again the night before, even stronger than last time, but the honeycomb did not fall down, indicating that the honeycomb was much stronger than before. This hive is much larger than the previous one, about the size of two fists, which shows that the bees really spent a lot of time.
Bees are not only hard-working, but also tenacious, united, and never give up. I admire this spirit very much.
When others approach its nest, it attacks because it does not want its companions and larvae to be harmed. This safety awareness and bravery are commendable!
