Let go of five songs, the third song
Tang Bai Juyi
Give you a skeptical law,
No need to drill turtles. Good luck.
Yukao will burn for three days.
It takes seven years to identify the materials.
When the Duke of Zhou was afraid of gossip,
When Wang Mang was humble and did not usurp the throne.
Shi Xiang died at the beginning,
Who knows the truth of life?
Translation:
I'll give you a way to dispel your doubts,
This method does not need tortoise shells or yarrow stems to predict good luck or bad luck.
It takes three days to identify the authenticity of jade.
It takes seven years to identify the material of wood.
When Duke Zhou was afraid of gossip,
Wang Mang was respectful before he usurped the throne.
If these two people die,
Who knows the truth of life?
Creative background:
In 8 10 (five years of Yuanhe), Yuan Zhen, a good friend of Bai Juyi, was demoted to join the army in Jiangling for offending powerful people. During his stay in Jiangling, Yuan Zhen wrote five poems "Free Talk" to express his feelings: "Death is an old and idle life. What can I do?" (1) "You should know where you will be commended several times for your life that has fallen to the left twice" (5). Five years later, Bai Juyi was demoted to Jiangzhou Sima. At this point, Yuan Zhen has been transferred to Tongzhou Sima. After hearing the news, he wrote an affectionate poem "I heard that Lotte awarded Jiangzhou Sima". Bai Juyi is on his way to be demoted. He was deeply moved by the wind and waves, and also wrote five poems "Gossip" to offer peace.
