Appreciation of Li Shangyin's Poem Peony

peony

Tang Dynasty: Li Shangyin

The brocade coat first rolled Mrs. Wei, and the embroidery was piled up over the king of Hubei.

He put down his hand to carve Yu Pei and bent down to dance the Yujin skirt.

Have you ever cut out fashionable candles and smoked incense burners?

I am a colored pen in my dream, and I want to send a book to the cloud.

The brocade curtain has just been rolled up, and it is a beautiful Mrs. Wei; The silk embroidered mattress is still piled up, and it is a handsome Yuee princess.

Just like dancing with hands down, jade ornaments are turning around; It's like bending down to dance, and Yujin's skirt is scrambling to spin.

Like candles in Shi Chong's house. Why do you always cut the wick? Just like Xun's skin, why not dye it carefully with a censer?

I'm Jiang Yan, a poet. I got that colored pen in my dream. I want to write beautiful words on the leaves and give them to Chaoyun.

To annotate ...

W: Brocade. Jian Wendi of the Southern Dynasties wrote an inscription on a book case: "The toilet is beautiful and generous." Mrs. Wei: Nanzi, the wife of the Spring and Autumn Period, is famous for her beauty. According to Dian lue, Confucius returned to Weiguo and was received by Nanzi. Nanzi was at the brocade curtain, Confucius bowed to the north, and Nanzi bowed at the curtain, making a loud noise. The original note of this sentence: "Dian lue" says: "Master sees Nanzi Yu Jin."

Embroidering the quilt sentence: Embroidering the story of the person embraced by the E-jun According to the story of Shuo Yuan Shan, in the river where E-jun was boating, Vietnamese paddlers expressed their love for E-jun with songs, and E-jun was moved by the songs, raised his long sleeves and embroidered it. In this paper, peony is compared to the Yue people wrapped in embroidery. In other words, Yueejun system compares both beautiful women and beautiful men. See Qian Zhongshu's Supplement to Talking about Art.

"Hanging Hands" sentence: "Solving Problems in Yuefu": A big one is talking and dancing, a small one is hanging hands, and a person is hanging hands alone. Yuefu Miscellaneous Notes refers to the dancing movements of big hands and small hands, such as stunning or flying swallows. Therefore, Yu Pei rummaged around while dancing.

Folding: a "trick". Bend over and dance: one is "change your waist frequently." Miscellanies of Xijing: Mrs. Qi is good at dancing and sleeving her waist. Turmeric skirt: A skirt dyed with turmeric.

Shi Jia sentence: The color of peony is like a big burning candle flame. According to Shi Shuo Xin Yu, Shi Chong was extravagant and "cooked with candles". Candles are burned as firewood, so you don't have to cut the core, so you say, "I haven't cut it."

Xun Ling sentence: It means that the fragrance of peony is naturally produced and does not need to be smoked. Xun Ling is Yu Xun, and his name is Wen Ruo. He worked as an assistant and a secretary. Cao Cao discussed all military and political affairs with him and called him Xun Lingjun.

"I am" sentence: I am talented. According to the biography of Nan Shi Jiang Yan, Jiang Yan tried to stay in Ye Ting and dreamed of a husband who claimed to be Guo Pu, saying,' I have a pen in your house for many years, so I can read it back.' Drowning is a five-color pen to explore your arms, and then a poem, not a beautiful sentence. When people say they are exhausted.

Ye: One piece. Chaoyun: refers to Wushan goddess. During the Warring States Period, Chu Huaiwang traveled in Gaotang and dreamed that his daughter was in Wushan. After the good thing, a temple was built, nicknamed "Chaoyun". Tang Yuanzhen's poem "White Clothes" says: "Laugh at Zhou Fang by leaning on the screen, and waste your energy on painting clouds."

The first couplet is a close-up of a peony. At the beginning, I borrowed the allusions from Dianlue, and put the gorgeous, dazzling, shy and delicate peony on the same stage as Mrs. Wei, and the brocade curtain appeared at the beginning. The second sentence uses the allusions from Shuo Yuan. The original code is that the embroidered quilt is held by Hubei people, which is called "embroidered quilt is piled up by Hubei people". In Qing Dynasty, Ma Wei's Essay on Autumn Window and Gui Fu's Miscellaneous Spectrum both pointed out misuse (Gui called it "the King of Chu"). The poet imagines the green leaves of peony as embroidered quilts of the Hubei group, and the peony flowers as Yue people covered with embroidery, vividly depicting the bright style of newly blooming peony flowers surrounded by green leaves. The word "Youdui" describes the shape of green leaves when the bud is in full bloom, which echoes the first volume.

Zhuan Xu shows the graceful posture of peony when it is swaying in the wind. Hanging hands and bending down are the names of dancing, which also refers to dancing. Yu Pei refers to the jade ornaments worn by dancers; Turmeric skirt refers to a skirt dyed with turmeric. These two sentences contrast the dancer's light posture with his hands bent and his back bent. When dancing in the wind, the ornaments fly over the long skirt and the peony leaves fluctuate.

The first two couplets mainly describe the static shape of peony, and the neck couplets specifically describe the color and fragrance of peony. Never Sharpen a Stone Candle describes the color of peony as a big burning candle, but it doesn't need to trim the wick. "Zeng Jian" Shi Chong in the Western Jin Dynasty was extremely extravagant, and candles were used as firewood, so it was not necessary to cut the wick. "Smoked incense burner can smoke" means that the fragrance of peony is natural, so it is not suitable to smoke with incense burner. It is said that Yu Xun went to someone else and sat there for three days. In the old days, clothes were smoked by incense burners, and the smoked taste was natural, so it was said that they could be smoked.

The poets in couplets were intoxicated by the beautiful countryside and dreamt of the goddess Wushan in a trance. They hope that she can teach them a colorful pen, write down their desires in this mosaic, and then give it to the Wushan goddess. In my dream, I handed in colored pencils and compiled "Biography of Heather River Flooding". I use it in reverse here to express the poet's inner excitement.

This poem is ingeniously conceived, comparing things with people and imitating things with people. It depicts the charm, gorgeous colors and rich fragrance of peony leaves through the stories of Mrs. Wei, Yue people, your maiko, the stone family burning candles and seeking incense burners, so that the modal of peony can be fully presented. Finally, the poet had a whim and gave the peony leaves to the Wushan goddess. Writing peony clearly, praising people secretly, is unique and memorable.
