Wang Shen, a songwriter, was born in Wuxi. 1938, Wang Shen came to Yan 'an with a yearning for art and conducted systematic music study and training in Lu Yi. Soon, he and his teacher Lu Ji went to work in southeastern Shanxi. The hard life of the Anti-Japanese War not only tempered Wang Shen's will, but also started his career of music creation.

1949 when new China was founded, Wang Shen made up his mind to write a song to celebrate the birth of new China. On the eve of the National Day the following year, Wang Xin went to Beijing on business from Tianjin, which happened to be the day when Beijing held the National Day celebration. The mighty celebration team, the flying five-star red flag and the infinite vitality of the new China all gave Wang Xin rich creative inspiration.
